Fall 1970 for a Halloween dance at my High School in Los Angeles and this was the lineup , oh and Duane Allman as well. I was standing 6 feet from Eric, George and Duane watching them all work. All that for the outrageous sum of $3.50. I also had set up my sound system outside for the Motorcycle club and was playing Eric's soon to be released Deric and the Dominos album rather loudly. I was given a radio airplay pressing by a DJ friend (which I still have) that often has the songs rearraigned for ease of playing for the DJ's. When they went on break they heard me playing an album that hadn't officially been released yet and they all came out to see what was up. At 16 I was so stoked to be talking to all of them that I flat forgot to get them all to autograph the album cover. Didn't even think of it until the next day and spent an hour or two kicking myself. Let my friends play DJ with all my equipment while I was inside as much as possible listening to them all. Great night that rarely happen anywhere but LA while they were in town working on new albums.
Yes Jim Price on that horn. The great horn combo of Price and Bobby Keyes. I saw this band, minus George Harrison in Minneapolis. Never saw a man who could let out a scream like Delaney.
If I remember right Bobby Whitlock says that Billy was part of this tour. Side note... if you are not aware Bobby and his wife Coco have been doing TH-cam videos for several years. And they cover most of the music scene at that time.
And Rita Coolidge on backing vocals as well!
Jim Gordon on drums, the greatest. His timing and his groove and his sound are fantastic.
That was my birthday gift for tomorrow. 84 years young. Thanks, guys. Linda84
I love listening to this now, to this day, as much as I did 52 years ago. Just fantastic.
THANK YOU!

Bad ass band! Bobby Keys, Jim Price. Bobby Whitlock, Carl Radle, Jim Gordan, Rita, George, Eric and D&B! ❤️
Definitely Jim Price, not Leon Russell.

Was Billy Preston not also playing keyboards that evening?
