- Do you want to generate random text in MS Word as a placeholder? Something like "Lorem Ipsum" text that we usually see on new websites.
You can easily generate random text in Microsoft Word by using a simple formula.
Yes - there are a few formula to generate random text in MS Word.
Here are the formulas:
-- RAND() Function
-- RAND(P,L) Function
-- RAND.OLD()
-- RAND.OLD(P,L)
To use these formulas, just enter it in Word and press enter. You will instantly see the random text (or Lorem Ipsum) appear on the screen.
-- RAND function would insert five paragraphs of random text.
-- In RAND(p,l), you can specify the number of paragraphs and the number of lines per paragraph
-- RAND.OLD() would also generate random text. It generates 3 paragraphs with each paragraph consisting of two lines of The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
-- RAND.OLD(p,l) would generate random text and you can specify the number of paragraphs and the number of lines in each paragraph.
-- Lorem() - If you want to get the Lorem Ipsum text, use the formula =Lorem().This will automatically generate 5 paragraphs of Lorem Ipsum text. If you a specific number of paragraphs and lines per paragraph, use =Lorem(p.l), where p is for the number of paragraphs and l is for the number of lines per paragraph.

I just got reminded about how brilliant and underrated this channel was. That is outright witchcraft that he's teaching here. I never knew you could enter any formulas right into a text editor like MS Word outside of the macro shell. Great job!
Hadn't used this fill function for ages and completely forgot the code. Thank you for posting.
Thank You for giving Important information About Rand Function
Mera nhi ho rha enter dbane ke bad paragraph nhi aata
Very lucid video. Your voice is crisp and you speak like an educated person. I loved the very uncommon aspect that the video has no requests for liking, subscribing, hitting the bell icon. Most of those greedy shams make videos with money-minded minds only instead of being helpful and informative. Their English too isn't good more often than not. Thank you.
Course Hero is proud of you!!
Thank you professional explanation
Thanks. I only solved it with your video.
Very nice explanation thank you

THNKQ SO MUCH SIRJI
Thank you sir 🌸🧡💛💙❤️❣️
very good vedio
if it does Not work, ensure that you go "Options" settings of your MS Word, find "Auto-Correct" options, find "Replace Text as you Type", and EN-ABLE it !!
Thank you very much...
Helpful video, thank you. Is there a way in MS Word to generate an exact number of random characters, such as 1000 chars?
Thanks
Glad you found the video useful!
Very thank you
Thank you
Nice video
Glad you found the video useful!
good good
It's not random, though. That's a misnomer. It's predictable and consistent, the opposite of random. I'm just saying.
THANKS SIR.
it does not give any sort of paragraphs even after typing "=rand[]" then hit enter.do i need to activate any other stuff before typing the rand function?
Are you using square brackets? You need to use =RAND()
You probably have "Replace Text as you Type" disabled in the AutoCorrect Options. Re-enable it and you should get it going.

@@TheAkki1979 thank you
WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS?
In rand function it is showing the contents which i do not need. How can I copy my typed paragraphs. In other words what i have to do with the sentence "video provides way to help you....... bla, bla, bla, bla. show me the paragraph which i want to bring copy it here. Utter nonsense
The video clearly says "random text", if you want to copy specific text, simply use copy-paste.
Why would I do this? Sorry I'm just not getting it?
ditto? did you get a reply? don't see any.
If you for example create a template which could contain a long text and you want to see how it looks without having actual text. Filling the same word all the time is not a good representation for text so you do that.
@@tsavorit52 yup exactly, I have to go to a site to generate lorem ipsum doler for my sample templates now I know this is more convenient 👍👍👍
HOW CAN I GET WORD TO GIVE ME RANDOM TEXT ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC?
