Maybe getting a new professional auto body wrap job done over a sportscar's beautiful paint job would virtually guarantee to protect the original, valuable, beautiful, original paint! Great video! Thanks and happy holidays!
I have ppf on the car and I don’t drive it as much in the winter so less time for the lights to “scratch.” I’ll be making a vid reviewing the paint when I take it off in a few days for the people looking to do it next year lol Thank you and hope youre enjoying your holidays as well!
I was thinking about it but it’s pricey and I figured I’d put enough so that the wind wouldn’t affect it too much. also I have a garage so I won’t bring it out if it’s raining, snow maybe
After watching a video similar to this video with my neighbor we did his car and truck. 2 days later he got pulled over and was shown the law, got fined and was told to remove them. Doing this is illegal in most if not all states.
Yikes, I guess those officers weren’t feeling the holiday spirit. I don’t take the car out as much in the winter however, if I do, I make sure the lights are not flashing because flashing red and blue lights will get you in trouble. If I do get pulled over for this, I’m hoping I could get away with a warning. If not, I’m sure it will be a ticket that could be dismissed for removing them. If people decide to do this, they should question whether it’s worth the infraction or not.
So the guy in that video had no protection on his paint but primarily he used the original Christmas lights that form a point at the tip. From driving around the wind makes that scratch the car. Mine are beads and don’t scratch.
fortunately I garage my car and haven’t taken it out on rainy/wet days to avoid tape coming off. As far as the lights go, I don’t see why they wouldn’t work being that they are outdoor lights. A stronger tape I’d recommend is gaffer tape, doesn’t leave residue when you peel it off and is much stronger than masking. However it is a bit pricier.
I used 3 boxes of lights that were 300ish feet in length EACH. They included 1000 LEDs on each box. I think 2 boxes enough if you want to go light on the lights and 3 is perfect if you want to go a bit heavier/more concentrated. Shouldn’t be too different being that yours is a coupe as well. 4000 LEDs gonna be bright enough to light up the road though lol
I’ve driven by multiple police in my area and none have bothered me regarding this obviously, I don’t drive around with the flashing because they would be able to say flashing red and blue lights is illegal. I think it depends on the officer and if they’re feeling the holiday spirit. At worst, I think the ticket would be something that you could remove have proof of it and they would pardon it.
That’s odd, I have more lights with less wattage on my converter. Are the lights LED? Also if they’re all linked to one another I’d break them up and see if that fixes it.
@ yes there all connected to one ? But wym break them up like plug two did strands to the converter instead of all it on one ? Thanks for the reply bro
Cool results!!! 🔥🩵
Thank you!

Gaffer tape works better than painters tape and I believe holds up better in wet weather

Nicee .. plan on doing to my camaro .. will be coming back to this
Glad I could help! You definitely only need two boxes of these specific lights. Unless you wanna go crazy like I did 🤣

So what was the difference between your wrap and your buddy’s who had sever scratching?

@ appreciate the feedback my man👌🏼👌🏼
@ gotchu
what inverter did you use/ get?
I got one off of amazon called BESTEK 300W Power inverter. I linked it in the description.
I wanna make it for my Toyota Camry, but wondering if 2 will be enough?
Won’t be as populated as with 3 of course but you’ll definitely enough to cover the car and make it look good!
where to connect the light adapter
The light adapter goes into your cigarette lighter (power outlet that’s circular in your car)
Have you been caught out in bad weather? How'd they hold up?

So how much length of lights did you use? I’ve got about 328ft of lights to cover my Jaguar F Type, you reckon that will be enough?
That’s 4000 LEDs as well

As much as I want to do this, is it even worth it if your gonna be on the cops radar?

I got around 1300 lights with a 400 w converter it keeps blowing a fuse in my cigarette lighter port!? Any explanation and how to solve it ?
