Crazy thing is that Red Velvet sing all their choruses together and they have 5 members. They don’t alternate like other groups and have to harmonise. They really don’t get a break on stage and still sing and dance consistently and are very stable.

Just as everyone said, RV vocals are clearly the best, but being the most successful and popular group don‘t always acquire the best vocalists. While Bp and Twice went on with the same concept most of their career, being safe, RV played around with quirky and unique concepts. But the risk with this is that they lose fans with every concept and (of course gaining some) But luckily psycho did extremely well and made some people open their eyes and actually appreciate RV Talents. I personally loved and stanned RV for since Rookie and I loved every cb since because they pulled of every Single concept and made me like every song, even though they were unusual to me.

3. Gfriend (Hard Choreo? No Problem. Gfriend invented stable vocals. Yuju.)
4. Blackpink (same as Gfriend. Hard choreo but stable vocals, sometimes tentative but who cares. All of them can sing. Rose voice is so soothing)

0izzi0 Well Jihyo can sing but she is so tentative and she has a really bad singing technique makes her vocals look bad, she don't deserve the main vocal position but she has the potential to improve. if JYP makes her the main vocal just because she can hit high notes, well high notes are not everything, she's the main vocal so she has to be always stable. Sometimes I find Nayeon and Jungyeon or even Tzuyu more stable than her.

I think the reason Red Velvet did so well is because the work they put outside of their vocal strength outside of performing and vocal practices. I believe it was mentioned somewhere that they also practice their singing while they dance in practices and while they jog and exercise. You can tell they put a lot of work into how strong they sound and it really pays off.

Yes. Even though is not to the same degree, I do show choir in school and our director make us song full voice while dancing when were rehearsing. Even if we are just learn the dance so we look and sound strong. It really helps.

The reason why red velvet is obviously the best is because their vocalists wendy, seulgi and joy have such unique vocal colors and are powerful and mature-sounding as well. Even if people say irene and yeri are weak vocalists yall cant deny that they also sing really well and can even hit high notes considering theyre rappers. Literally everyone in red velvet not just CAN sing but are also REALLY GOOD at singing. As for blackpink, well they have good voices and unique tone and sounds as well i just would want to hear more from them so i could actually really see their vocal capabilities. I havent really heard them have so much power in their voices yet like mamamoo and rv. As for twice i really do enjoy their music tbh and i respect them but theyre definitely the least vocally skilled among the big 3 girl groups. Even irene and yeri could prolly be lead and main vocals if they were with twice.

Idk maybe i just have really high standards bc sm just really have a good profile of gg vocals since s.e.s. to rv now. I really do believe twice has great potential. But they lack technique. Even their main and lead vocals do. Jeongyeon actually has the most technique among them altho its not so obvious as she is like srsly the most underrated twice vocal. Ive been saying this a lot since watching their ice cream perf at gda (then theres this controversy about their recent encore stages again) that jyp really needs to give these girls a break and have their vocals improve if the agency really cares about twice's growth as artists and not just the money they can generate thru twice. The girls are overworked that they dont get enough time to explore their potentials. Jyp has to step his game up. Also you may watch rv's latest reve festival performances and you'll see what i mean about irene and yeri's vocals. Theyre really good, just that they arent given enough opportunities to have their vocals shine in the general public.

Techniques are important esp bc theyre almost on their 5-year mark and so many people still have the same criticism on twice which is their vocals.
