Wow that’s clever. The water dispersed the energy from when the counts were dropped. Reducing the chance of punctures and they reduce their energy to gather the coconuts since they’re buoyant. Really clever harvest!

This is a wonderful display of coconuts being produced for the marketplace. I just love me some coconut.
I hope in my country "philippines "... have a good market of coconut 😢.. sayang lang yung malalaking farmer ng niyogan...binibenta na lang nila ang kanilang lupain para gawing pabahay. Sana mayroong malalaking mga negosyante ang mamohunan dto sa atin para dimasayang ang niyogan natin.

Pero Pilipinas parin ang may pinakamalaking export ng nyog sa mundo..kaya lang mahina ang promotion at advertise natin para sa ibang products ng coconut..naka focus tayo masyado sa oil making..pero kong pag ralan natin ilang products tulad ng buko juice at coco sugar mas lalaki pa ang kikitain ng farmers ng mga nyog..at hihigpitan ang middle man at gobyerno ang mamimili aasenso lahat ng may nyugan..

Although good for use and throw, it’s disturbing to see so much plastic waste is added to such a beautiful natural tender coconut. I doubt anyone who drinks and chuck it to bin would cut it open and eat the coconut inside it.
Basically removing the natural protective layer to then wrap them in two layers of plastic, the green cap, the red valve and straws. The way they are cultivated is cool though, and efficient, they bear really well. I love coconut water and I do open them and eat the jelly.

It seems a bit odd that we remove the natural, bio-degradable, proven method of packaging the coconut already has, and replace it with plastic that just gets thrown out as garbage (aka pollution)
It may be advisable to consider implementing a branding solution such as stamping or heat embossing on the peeled coconut to enhance brand recognition and product identification.
have you thought of maybe because of less weight and uniform size? they just saved at least 50% of the volume needed to pack 12 in a box. Then how many people are willing/able to peel the coconut themselves at home?
This now has to be stored under refrigeration and transported under refrigeration which is a whole lot of energy

@Morning-yv7nf which would make much more sense as there's so much plastic in the whole process!!! The whole video is cool to watch and learning the whole process from harvest to end product is really interesting, but why wrap the coconut in plastic twice? And then add a complex plastic cap with a straw!!!! They could be more creative and maybe create a metal stamp of their branding and press it on the outside face of the coconut just like they did with the numbers underneath during the process. It could be cheaper and promote they're brand better, showing how they care about not polluting... I understand the practicality of having the straw and being just a punch away from accessing the water, but I still think the amount of plastic could be reduced drastically...

you are right . but there are some part of the production line that can replace by machine , like the weighing ,selecting , packing and heat-filming .
Actually most of these intense labour are migrant workers from neighboring countries. Mostly are Myanmar people as I can hear what they are talking and the yellow powder on their faces. It's Burmese style.

There are still so much manual hard labor involved in each coconut water. Hope they can improve the production process even more so the work will be less laborious. I love fresh coconut water!

Human blood: Has a pH range of 7.35-7.45, making it slightly alkaline or basic.
Coconut water: Has a pH of 5-5.4, making it slightly acidic.

Me pregunto cuál es el valor agregado que justifica sacrificar tanto volúmen de empacado, almacén y transporte.
Dejar ese volúmen y peso es impráctico en paletizado desde todo punto de vista.
Un empacado optimizado reduce los costos por tener la mayor cantidad de producto en el mínimo espacio.
Sigo sin entender el sentido práctico y económico de utilizar el cuerpo del coco si el producto es el agua.
Otro detalle es que le clavan un accesorio de plástico justamente arriba a donde la caja soportará el peso de las otras cajas en estiba.
Es decir, todo ese peso irá directo allí a riesgo de romperlos.
Realmente es así. Un extraordinario producto que trae un envase natural perfecto para su conservación, embalado, publicidad y mercadeo (el solo se promociona) y transporte, no tiene sentido que le añadan mas costos, que en manera alguna le da un valor agregado real competitivo (nutricional, sabor, color, tamaño, precio, etc...) al agua de coco. Es mi lógica consumidora, tal vez esté errado.
@@carloscontreras5577 El problema es que en la cadena logística el volúmen es dinero. En almacén, transporte y góndola los costos se reducen si se aprovechan los volúmenes de espacio al máximo. Si el producto es EL AGUA, utilizar el cuerpo del coco no es lógico desde el punto de vista funcional y financiero.
A no ser que el objetivo sea tomar un agua de coco cara para tomarse una foto.
Entonces si el motivo es estético en vez de práctico y rentable tal vez si.
Esa presentaciòn es mucho mas cara en coco que en tetrabrick o plàstico. En Miami un litro en tetrabrick (filipina o brasileña) sale en $6 mientras que un coco casi $3. Un litro es aprox 4 o 5 cocos.
