it’s a trick that speedrunners use in the vanilla game to speed up the final fight, at the end of the act 2 boss just before the final boss, when you do a 6-tap spindash towards the edge of the screen, you can hit the screen boundary and immediately do a one tap spindash, which causes the camera to displace the floor collision when you load into the final boss room after the first phase you can just hold down a spindash and get 8 hits in very quickly when he starts walking, then you can get a few hits in when he comes back up holding the emerald
i wanted a sense of intrigue because it shows WHAT the restrictions are, but not how many left or right presses are actually used, and this was also before my TASvideos submission was changed to "no L or R presses" i'll change it again to what TASvideos changed my submission category name so i can keep naming consistent
Yeah, the naming is weird. TheBlad768 started with version 1.1 back in 2012, but there were a bunch of versions between it and v100.0 (I'm not sure of the history exactly but just know there was some random stuff like 37.5 and 77.8 of which I have no clue why that's what was published to the internet at the time) Then after v100.0 came v200.0, 300.0, a prototype for 400.0, then 400.0. There is a pack containing the majority of the ROMs but it's missing out on some of the earlier ones.

@@Tuffcracker Ah I see. That's interesting to know.
Why did you rename the Sonic Advance no L or R inputs run as “minimum left or right” if there were no left/right inputs at all?
