Steven Seagal is so easily fooled. He takes himself so seriously and is unable to think critically. He doesn't just live in fantasy land...he exists entirely within it mind body and soul.
Very annoying interviewers Tom Wright was telling a interesting story about Seagal and they kept butting in and at one stage went off the subject,so Tom Wright had to come back to the story after the interviewer went totally off the point.🤔
Great story. I once worked on a set and got one of the actors to help me play a practical joke on the 1st AD. Good actors like this can crush you under those circumstances.
You know what the worst part about tis is though? That Seagal most likely thinks he was the victim of "deception" or "dishonest behavior" because he simply can't understand that kicking out all the black actors from the set because HE "thought" their accents were "fake" was the real problem. That is typical for him.
why guilty, it is a good movie overall, Seagall early movies were decent action movies with good fights, later ones were weak af but it doesn;t change the fact
Mr Wallace you played a superb role as Screwface, the character left me wanting for more. Sure wish you get cast in the John Wick 5 - you got it as an actor.
He should have never confessed to Steven... no telling how many more times Steven would have hired him in future movies anytime he needed a Jamaican character haha.
Funny you should bring up Leguizamo. You should look up HIS Seagal story from 1996's Executive Decision. Rumor has it he based his performance as the villain Scrooge in the upcoming film Violent Night on Seagal's on-set behavior from this movie.
You know everyone and their mama has a podcast now. Here's an idea. Let's talk over our guest as he tells a story. Insert some unnecessary sound effects too.
Say what you will, haters, Steven Seagal is a 7th degree master of Kukido. Kukido is an obscure, Okinawan martial art that enables you to fight an opponent, while discreetly checking his pockets for cookie dough. KUKIDO!! Ha ha, yippeeeeeeee!!!
Buuuuuutttt.... where is the part where Seagal was an asshole to him? Also, Steven Seagal wasn't the casting director on that film. The only people he hired on were some of the stunt crew.
Seagal started studying Chinese martial arts in Jamaica in the early fifties... That's how you get that kind of bull $hitter you bull $hit them right back. 😆
Seagal sounds like a great guy. This guy who Steven was nice enough to give a job to years latter goes on this podcast to make make fun of the guy that gave him a great opportunity. Wright is the guy with the problem. He also lied to get the job. Does he have no honor. Bad idea to burn bridges.
The story shoulda started, Steven, we were sold into slavery by our fellow African brother. In America white man Free'd us but in Jamaica we freed ourselves!" How come the beginning of the African Enslavement is Blamed on White People when it Was Africans enslaving each other and selling each other to the Europeans. And Stop interrupting your guest. It ruins the interview.
No one forced whitey to buy those slaves but they did anyway, just so lazy and inept Americans could build their wealth off the misery of other human beings.
Really, you see that Tom Wright was the asshole, when you've heard the full story and then he seals it with the pride he has in recalling the tale here.
@@RobertoDiego737 My issue with it is. If I'd heard a guy was an ass. But then he gave me a gig I applied for, out of maybe hundreds of other applicants. During said gig, he was alright with me (even though I'd got the gig deceitfully in a way). I'd say, I've heard all these stories, but the guy was ok with me etc.
@@successsystem2468 My honest reaction is why would Tim look at Steven Seagal like he did him some kind of special favor? Seagal himself made it openly known that he was rejecting all Black American actors because he thought their "accents were fake." Maybe I'm off here but, "knowledgeable in Afro-Caribbean Linguistics," does NOT strike me as something most people associate with the name Steven Seagal. Conversely, something I believe most people can easily associate with the name Steven Seagal is, "dumb enough to be fooled on a daily basis by someone he is more than willing to write off." Personally, I think Tim was just demonstrating how resourceful you need to be in order to exist in Hollywood. And I have no issue with how he accomplished that considering at least 1-2 of the extras/stuntmen (in the mall fight scene) were clearly non-minorities in blackface.
this story is unintelligible. and its not the accent. dude is just grandstanding. you dont need to grandstand when you tell a steven seagal story. we all get it. but this aint it, holy shit.
As a Jamaican, I can honestly say Tom Wright killed it 😂😂
Dear innernet, please don’t ever stop the steven seagal stories.
Please and thank you
I love crazy Seagal stories.
Addictive indeed lol
So many of them
It's a hobby.
There are many stories out there....
Have you heard Sven Thorsen's Seagal story of Seagal trying his stupid thumb lock on him when he went to shake hands with him?...It's gold💪🤣
EVERYBODY HAS A STEVEN SEAGAL STORY!!! THIS MIGHT BE THE BEST ONE!!!
😭😭 EVERYONE DOES!
Steven Seagal has been working with Jamaicans for like 57 years… 😂
LoL Tom Segura
He's been training pigeons for like 85 years.
I think it was 58.
😂😂😂😂
I've been watching Steven Seagal movies for like 85 years.
He's been around for like 200 years
Steven Seagal is so easily fooled. He takes himself so seriously and is unable to think critically. He doesn't just live in fantasy land...he exists entirely within it mind body and soul.
OMG. amazing story. i loved Tom Wright's character in that film. the scene where they journey to Jamaica is the best part of the film.
One of the finer scenes for sure!!
Charles in _Marked for Death_ is my favourite Tom Wright role
Steven Seagull became a bloated Glazed ham with Eddie Munster hairline and goatee
He uses better hair dye than old Rudy Guliani.
Hhmmm, upon reflection it's actually wrong to call permanent markers "hair dye".
Steven Seagal's Jamaican accent & heritage is unparalleled - Steven was born in the USA, Tibet, Mexico,China & Japan.......... Unparalleled.
You forgot that he is an actual god
Russia too
And half native american because his great great grandmother on his mom's side was 1/8th native american.....lol
..
Hg was born in Mars, actually.
Tom great to be Jamaican and proud of it

Yeah, terrible job by the interviewers.
Ebonics
We wuz podcastuhz.
Like why do they even have an podcast if they keep talking over him???
Fucking laughing

Probably one of the better stories I've heard

I like Tom. His accent was great in the movie.
Marked for Death is probably the only Seagal film I've seen and it's kind of a guilty pleasure
why guilty, it is a good movie overall, Seagall early movies were decent action movies with good fights, later ones were weak af but it doesn;t change the fact
I'll go as far as to say it's a good movie, his older stuff was really good
Tom looked like wale in marked for death.
Mr Wallace you played a superb role as Screwface, the character left me wanting for more. Sure wish you get cast in the John Wick 5 - you got it as an actor.
Typical Seagal story and I love it. The woman who played his sister in "Marked for Death" also said that Seagal is the biggest assh. ever.
Damn, he no one likes Seagal. He is an asshole, but Marked For Death was great.
And how many films has she done ? One ?
@@davidchrist1037 You are wrong. That actress has been in several movies.

The interviewers are great and truly enjoying this telling story.

A lot of actors said Seagel was an ass to work with

Let's not forget Steven Seagal thinks of himself as an expert on black people because he also likes to pretend that he is one in a lot of his films
