I don't know. John is an emotionally broken man and Silent Hill is far too powerful when it comes to exploiting that. It'll probably break him when his wife is brought back screaming how disgusted she is that he's killing people and probably go an extra mile to have her kill herself in front of him. And then do it again, but have his wife transform into a giant half woman half beagle monster if he faced his fears.
To be fair, depending on how you play James, it's sorta already a 'you're locked in here with me' scenario. Those monsters gonna learn to RESPECT THE PIPE.

He's basically a self-centered serial killer that doesn't care how many of his friends get caught in the middle. One thing is for certain, he wouldn't have to suffer through the God-awful tank controls.
Not gonna lie, i wouldn't mind having a silent hill game where you play as a badass who's also dealing with emotional baggage like John Wick. Would make for a good psychological horror going through his own personal purgatory in the town.
