You could always paint the exposed pipes the same colour as your siding. That would make them blend in a bit more until you decide what to do.
boxing them in is not all that hard either but does make a great hiding place for critters if not sealed well.
I think painting them would be better than they are.
anything would be better looking than they are now. I am not sure why Al didn't go straight up the back with those pipes (above the generator) and into the attic space above the utility rooms.

Good day Keith, yes I have watched those old videos and how the old farm came along. Land was cleared, buildings were built, fences put up and the farm grew ! The new place will grow as well, buildings will be built, more fences will come along with more animals. This will all take time !!

I love how quickly the cats discovered the ladder, but they seemed confused when they couldn’t get in through the window! I also had a giggle with the “Gina runs into the house with the tractor” conversation. The faux stone looks gorgeous.
You have to start somewhere is right. We have been homesteading since 1981 at this location and we had to start out this way. Now, we have a nice barn and lean to attached, stalls for our goats, cattle, and hogs. We built a separate chicken house and portable chicken tractors. It takes time. Look how far you have come. Well done.

Good morning to our favorite homesteaders! It's so good to see new life coming to the new place. Can't wait to see the siding done and the start of some new builds (my favorite) new green house, new shop, new building to get equipment out of the sun and weather! And a barn to house the new life you all plan on bringing to the homestead!!!

That's so satisfying. Not finishing the stone before starting the siding triggered my OCD...whew.
Since there are bears in your area, might I suggest that you put one strand of electric fence along the tops of the fence posts on insulators. That should keep bears out of your pig pen. Otherwise, a bear can go right over your fence to get your pigs. It is no barrier at all to a bear.
You must be one strong fellow. Takes a lot of strength to pound those stakes in. I'll bet you'll be sore tomorrow, haha. The pig pen looks so good! Living the dream. Hugs from Tina

He just couldn't wait! Then Arlo and Jax on TYM at 4:59! Great that you got your trim up on the chase and you were able to finish the stone work! You just need the flashing and Zip tape! I like the place you chose to put the pigs! It does look like they'll have a happy spot! It's great that you're getting pigs this year! Figaro at 28:35! Good idea to have some electric fence inside to train them to for later use when they get the extra space! I like how you plan! Thanks for this video Lumnah family!

May I suggest an earth auger. To make putting posts in a ton easier. For your 4x4 posts. It's like an ice auger for ice fishing, but it's made for drilling in dirt. I loved the sarcasm for the trim and your zip system green board. Gina, I was LOL. Good one. Thanks for sharing. I loved another one. ❤

Once again the faux stone product, looks amazing because it looks real, looks quality, seems easy to work with common cutting tools and has real "curb appeal", one side note from a retired graphic artist, putting the stone and the siding on the garage door would have been a nice touch, however it would have been an architectural nightmare for Al to make all the cuts necessary for each door panel!
Al, on the chase panel, couldn't you have hinged that with hidden hinges for easier access to the plumbing at a later date?(musings of a graphic artist)
Again, thanks for taking us along on this adventure, and for a person who grew up in Middle America, I am loving New England people and their beautiful scenery!

As anticipated, the faux stone looks awesome with the siding! The exposed pipes could be enclosed in a chase as well, and covered with siding, and if you expand on them, just build a bigger chase. The pig pen looks perfect there. 🐖🐷
If you guys would take a suggestion instead of using zip ties to connect wire fence to t-posts. They make a tool called safety wire pliers. They twist the wire tight to secure pretty much anything. You will want a good spool of stainless wire as you grow your homestead. They use them in many industries. Aero, auto, racing, etc. Use regular steel wire if you know you will be taking down the fences often and want to save money buying stainless. I just would not trust wire ties with 300 pound pigs who like to rub on fences, lol. Cheers!

Gina, a nice Craft would be to make a couple planter boxes for flowers with the extra gem's. That would look nice. It'll match the tile on your home. I love WATCHING your VLOGS. You get the sweetest piglet's. Animals are so happy with you. I saw a lady train her pig to sit for a treat. I never saw that before. She trained one pig and he trained the other two. L.O.L. Add Gina's stone to an extra ply of sheathing, then attach that to the " chimney". That way you get the stone and it's easily removable. You're welcome.
You can always check with the inspector, I see he's on the job today hahaha

Get your local sheet metal place to fold up a black cover for the pipe works. Use exposed black screw fixings so that the cover is removable.
If you have scraps when you are done you should build a ladder cat tree

You're really close to the bush with your pog fence, you should put an electric wire on the top of your pig fence to deter coyotes from going over the fence
So funny, as soon as you started driving posts, I thought of your rocky soil. That looks like an awesome spot for your pigs.
Given the wildlife there, it might be wise to put another wire outside the top of the fence to deter coyotes. Are there bears there too? We have them in western Massachusetts and they are very hungry when they come out of hibernation. Just a thought. :-)
