Hi. Great video! I plan on purchasing an OBDLink MX+ based on what you have demonstrated in this video. I will also need to purchase an adapter cable, but I don’t know which OBD adapter cable I will need to fit my 2009 R1200 GSA. What is the make and model of your adapter cable?
@@GFI it was useful for sure & you motivated me to try service it myself soon👍🏻. But I was looking for a video how to check what are possible problems & fix for GS not starting despite replaced new battery & cranking. Any suggestion?
Would you think motoscan is enough do everything you need on the bike compared to hex code gs 911, also what do you think of the chinese copies of hex code gs 911? I've heard they can fry the ecu.
Hi Dillon. I think the Motoscan is an amazing tool for the cost. I cannot compare with the GS911. If you do not want to invest a lot of money go for the Motoscan and a good OBD.
You have different prices. If you install the app there is a free version really limited, and then you can upgrade it. Before you upgrade it will show you the value and the functionality added for that value. It is pretty straightforward. I bought it long time ago. Cannot remember the value.

Hi. Thanks. I just bought a generic one from eBay. You search for: OBDII adapter BMW R1200GS 2009 and they will appear.
@@GFI ok, thanks 👍
Thank you!

@@faizulidrus7350 check if the fuel pump is working. Do you have Motoscan?
@@GFI I’m ordering the 10 pin to 16 pin adaptor and will try with my BlueDriver OBD2 if it works.
@@faizulidrus7350 it will depend on the length of the string it can write. But if you have it try it first and buy another one only if necessary.
