That's probably because the mode is Multiplayer-exclusive.
Well this mode Is multiplayer only so thats why ppl dont know it
pro tip: watch series at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.

@@rey2771 I actually tried it with one copy of the game and it worked. Usually Mario games work with just one copy, but this one is only for 2 players…maybe 4 but idk. 3 doesn’t work

I'll Give You a Mario Party 2 Tip-
Whenever There Is Browser's Multiplying Toads You must land on an item space and then get the Bowser Bomb and then The fake toad is revealed!
Using the magic lamp also reveals the real toad
I don't remember this mode in Mario Party DS.
It’s Multiplayer exclusive so it’s easy to miss.

Too bad I’ll never get to play this mode on Wii U. They should’ve modified the game to where Pen Pals is playable with CPUs.
