Not to have too much invested but I miss the barber shop talk with the friends environment. The new team is uber creative, talented and from a different age demographic. Would love to see the old Mal laughing and talking with old friends without the guard so noticeably up. Maybe some friends/guests that are his age. Rory is the same, funny, intuitive and works hard to consistently develop new ideas. I hope that he has been invited to dinner at the house. He stayed true. The album is great. It hasn't reached everyone that would really love it.
Yeah the energy changed when they left Rory's house. When they first got to this studio, the conversation was better but now it just seems like Mal definitely has his guard up, tries aggressively to be an A-mic and the voice of reason but delusional af😂😂😂😂😂
I don't have any criticisms about their work. It appears that Mal's guard is up because he is separating business from friendship and that is only a perception. How can Mal function in his old lane again? He would have to want to be there. That lane is entertaining. His conversation and opinions are different from those of Millennials. He is always respectful to Rory.
I know they havent heard the album yet in this episode, but it does feel like Drake has been declining quality wise since Scorpion. Or just switching to focus on the Sub 25 crowd
He needs to just drop an undisputed classic at this point.

As someone who was a huge Drake fan when I was younger I acknowledge he is one of the greatest artist of all time. I appreciate what he contributed and still puts towards music. I don't "rush" when I see Drake drop like I did when I was a kid and young adult. My favorite run of his career is from 08/09 to 2016. Haven't listened to the album but will most likely

So I was a big fan of the NWTS Take Care If you're reading this era Drake. Everything after scorpion has been disappointing to me..
