I have two Saint Bernards, and this video doesn’t begin to describe how wonderful they are. The main downsides are the shedding and the slobber. So much fur. So much slobber. But they are the sweetest angels. Gentle but strong. Friendly, but protective if need be. Also, they love to cuddle!
I don’t have one myself, but whenever I visit my friends house and see his St Bernard, you almost always need to change your shirt when you get home from all of the hair and slobber🤣🤣
I think that kid actually fell over without being touched by the dog, though she did fall because she was trying to run away too fast and distracted by the dog chasing her.
@@katherinehalling6630 It used to be thought that strong alcohol consumption would warm someone up. In reality it actually warms up your core but cools down your extremities. They don't actually use those barrels anymore, if think that was just to make the dog look cute.

But my mother was carrying a basket to bring to her mom, the big dog came ripping off the garage off his leash and starting coming for her, bit her leg almost off, she luckily drove herself to the hospital, where SHE works, and she passed out coming into sue to loss of blood. I still remember it to this day, it was like 12 years ago.
My supervisor owned a St. Bernard. His name was Max and last weighed 175 pounds. He passed this summer at 18 years of age. This dog was a beast to behold. But just a kind and loving soul. RIP Max
"Low energy breed" Yep. That's pretty freakin' accurate. One of my friends had a Saint Bernard and he would run and then flop onto the ground suddently after a few minutes of playing. It was hilarious.
There was one on my mail route back in the seventies. He / she used to run up to the front gate to greet me. I always had a great time petting them. I just couldn't believe how much they drooled I was very thankful that there was a water bib right outside the gate so I could wash my hands off. That Saint Bernard always made my day !!!!
Our beloved giant baby girl crazy Daisy was half St. Bernard. She was so relaxed, she loved everything and everybody and always in a good mood. She was like a child waking up and she was ready for every fun and adventure... Sadly she passed away in August 2019 cause of cancer 💔💔💔💔💔 We had almost 11 years with that funny, crazy, smart and beautiful baby giant girl 💖😭💔😭💖 She was and is the love of my life... R.I.P. sweet angel and when my time is coming we will be together again and nothing could separate us anymore... 💝💔💖😭💖💔💝 Love and miss you so much...
My FAVORITE DOG BREED! When I was a kid my first and only friend, was a Saint Bernard. One day I was pushed off my bike by the neighborhood bully after I just got my training wheels off. I still have the scar on my elbow. I got my training wheels put back on because that was my dads answer to being bullied, and I saw the kids hanging out. I said veebee GO! That dog took off after the kids and chased them up a tree and cops got called. Then I had to be in a video for the court showing the dog was very loving, loyal and an amazing dog. They ended up moving because it was my neighbors dog, I was extremely sad. I was 6 years old and to this day, I will always remember the love and protection that dog gave me.

When I was a kid, I watched a fight between a St. Bernard and a Doberman. When the Doberman's head disappeared into the St. Bernard's mouth, I gained a whole different kind of respect for the St. Bernard...lol.
My grandfather was a veterinarian who had many, many dogs. Among them there was one Saint Bernard. We called him Tank. He surely was lazy old dog(I think he was over 15 yo). But when it comes to protecting us from other dogs, man he really was a TANK. I miss him.
I had 2 Saint Bernard’s as a young toddler, I dragged my Saints by the ear, and the same hand holding the ear I had my thumb in my mouth. Mine was my best friend, I learned how to ride my pony by riding Tootsie. He would just sit down when he got tired of carrying me. They both slept in my bed with me every night. I loved my Saints.

I once had a Saint Bernard, but he was so different, lots of energy, such a crazy dog and almost always running side to side of the garden. We had a Dogo of Burdeos at the same time, who was so calm, he just stayed the day enjoying the grass while taking a sunbath, so it was funny to see a big dog with tons of energy and another big dog laying like there was nothing else to do in this life.
We had a St Bernard and they DROOL constantly! Have to get changed after playing with them AND we had to get the Council mini-crane to lift her dead corpse. RIP Boots. Great doggo
Many years ago my friend was a teacher in a country school. One of the farmers gave her a St. Bernard dog for her classroom. This dog would just hang out in her classroom during the day and was as big as her desk. She had very low absenteeism.
My dog, Aramis, was a Saint Bernard lab mix, the sweetest dog I’ve ever had, I miss him deeply. He never hurt me and would always let me hug his neck, and he was always there when I wasn’t happy. I miss you Aramis ❤

My best friend has had a few St. Brenards over the years and they’re absolutely hilarious, loving, and just gentle giants. Even when they play they will barely bite you hard😂 it’s just like a little pinch, absolute sweet hearts ❤️
One of my Saint Bernards, Blue, loves us so much that sometimes kisses aren’t enough, and he just needs to eat your entire arm. He will just wrap is mouth around your arm, and very gently nibble. He’s so weird, and I love him so much. He looks almost exactly like the very first dog in the video. I don’t see one that looks quite like the other one, Rooney, though. Edit: actually, the one that the elderly person is petting looks a bit like Rooney, I think

I had one growing up, they are a amazing breed. When you talking about lazy. Ours refused to go on walks we would lay down in the middle of the street if you let him. Some are more active though.
My aunt and uncle have had Saint Bernard all my life and every time I see them they’re just like little bears that only want cuddles, one of my favorite breeds hands down
