    Great video. Ashness Bridge near Keswick was the bridge you showed. It is stunning. Would have been good to see you use and comment on the automated driving on the motorway, especially how it handled the wet weather.

    As a Tesla Model Y Owner I can confirm that the Tesla supercharger network is great - I charge at home for 5p/Kwh so that's a massive bonus, the car does about 4 miles on 1 Kwh. My maths might be slightly out but thats over 550 MPG at present day petrol prices, the car its self is amazing but after having German cars for over 20 years I can see the difference in build quality but is not bad at all. Liked your honest review of the car and as I live in the North I loved to hear your thoughts on the area, Tebay is my favourite service station in the whole country and anyone passing should stop in and have a look.😀

    • @DefinitelyNotAGuru
      @DefinitelyNotAGuru  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've only had 2 Tesla's (both Press Cars) but the build qualkity has been superb on both. I know there are consistency issues and have certainly seen some poor examples but I try to take as I find and both have been great for me. Tebay is amazing!

    This summer me and my family had an epic 3 week holiday driving my model y from Nottingham to The Hague via the euro tunnel , from there drove to Paris and then onto the Rhone alps before driving back to Nottingham.
    I would not of contemplated this had it not been for the supercharger network.
    It’s amazing and gave me 100% confidence

    Interesting to see the Model Y covering a varied long route like this. Shows the benefits of the car and Tesla charging network together as a total solution.
    It would be a good repmobile with that range and charging network.

    I've had my Tesla Model 3 since March. As I live in a flat I rely on public charging. Luckily I pass a Tesla Supercharger on my way to work. As far as the car itself goes I have no complaints whatsoever. The quality and finish is good and it is great to drive. I hear so many comments about panel gaps etc. They must have built my car on a good day.

    Great video.. Very interesting to see a long road trip in an EV and see the practicalities of charging it en route. Good point you made about the chargers being located where you would probably want to take a break anyway to stretch your legs and get a coffee so it didn’t encroach on your journey time.

    Another interesting video - you just need to book better weather next time! The ability to use their own dedicated charging network is a definite Tesla advantage- I can't really understand why they are going to share their charging network as this dilutes their USP as many other premium brands are catching up on range. As others have said, in the sub £35K/£250 per month sector where many motorists including myself reside, I remain unconvinced by current EV offerings and prefer the latest non plug in hybrids which allow some pure EV range for city streets and more economical fuel consumption on a longer journey. Keep up the videos - all really interesting.

      I’ve never had one. It’d be like saying you adore diesels - there’s a big difference between a Peugeot 306d and a 540d. I’m totally objective about EVs as I as always am with any car. I really loved the car though regardless of the fuel. Thanks for watching.

    Great video, good quality and good editing. The Tesla will be about £60k so too much for me and I've regularly done 600 miles in a diesel Mondeo in one day which cost me £1000 to purchase secondhand. 300 mile range is about where it needs to be but EVs have got to be nearer to £20k or sub-£200 PCP, though I think MG might get it there. If I get an EV now, I'll be paying 32p/kWh for home charging and saving over ICE fuel isn't much if any so staying with ICE is better for most for now. I know a couple of Audi e-tron GT owners and they bought them for the tax advantages but aren't impressed with the range at barely 200 miles.

      The range on those Audi’s is extremely sub par for the price.
