Australian government has implemented a new strict rule in approving student visa called GT (Genuine Students). The dept of immigration has found that many foreign students are using this visa to: over stay, work illegally, a path way for permanent residency! Now, you have to prove and sign a declaration of your real intention for studying in Australia (Whether you want to stay in AUS after graduating or go back to your home country, your status in your country, friends and relatives in AUS, etc)
After watching this video, I guess I was lucky enough to get my visa grant in less than 10 days from the day of lodgement. I only applied for a diploma in IT in a VET school.

Furthermore, I showed about 70,000 AUD in my finances indicating that I have sufficient funds to live about 2 years in Australia. Oh well, Australia's decision makers are stealing about 42 billion dollars from rejected applicants blatantly like that shows how much the country cares

I need to know why some of the agency hold the COE money for students visa.
I used agency from Perth and I paid everything they ask for after a week consultation and it has been nearly 6 months money not returned from the person who was responsible to pay everything.
Please 🙏 anyone can help me to contact me and some information who and where to make complaints about my situations.
Many thanks in advance.

If many international students get the idead the best way to apply visa is through level 1 providers universities and Tafe, then this will be the next problem for them too. If applications at universities or colleges level 1 triple or.more l, and these universities have to reject applications, they must be sincere about applications being clogged or closed,.thus they can't lose the risk level. and this is the problem universities are facing, if they reject a lot, is probably a negative review for them and lose their privilege

Canberra is a really good city. I am born in Australia and lived in Canberra for many years so I may be biased. It is a lot cheaper than Sydney for rent, it has beautiful parks, interesting museums and no traffic. It is about three hours from the beach though, but has high wages because the government is based there. There is also very low crime. It is a bit boring though.

I have been an international student at the university of Western Australia from 2020 to 2023 and due to the pandemic and several health conditions i had, I completed only 1 year's course load and recently applied for a 2 years student visa. Unfortunately, it was refused and I applied for a second student visa and it has been 20 days already. My course started this week and if the decison maker takes any more time, I might have to defer another semester resulting in me losing 2 years. Furthermore, I showed about 70,000 AUD in my finances indicating that I have sufficient funds to live about 2 years in Australia. Oh well, Australia's decision makers are stealing about 42 billion dollars from rejected applicants blatantly like that shows how much the country cares
There have been people applying for student visas starting their course then drop out. They still stay and some work. They don't withdraw from the course. This is affecting the visa application times and level of acceptance.
If you have genuine reasons for delays in study, you should speak to the uni. Probably attach some proof to your application.
@@woowoo5935 What you said probably applied to the OP. The $70,000 might have come about from working and not studying. 1 years worth of completed studies in 3 years is a pitiful attempt and this person wants ANOTHER 2 years of student visa despite no history of sustained progress on studies. I mean come on now.
In the perspective of the case officer, the 70k aud most likely came from you working instead of studying
