I've had this on a playlist for a while now. For me, it's my favourite of Ed Sheeran but, it was a brilliant idea to collab with Andrea, whose voice is superb. Yes, Andrea is blind. He was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma at 5 months. When he was 12, he lost his sight after a football accident. He has also recorded with his youngest son Matteo. His eldest son, Amos, was born with poor eyesight. You could see in Ed's face, how much he was impressed with Andrea. I know Ed has recorded Perfect with several people, but this duet is, for me, far and away the best. Such a beautiful song to have at your wedding

Wow, I never thought about there being people unfamiliar with Andrea Bocelli but I suppose its not the type of music everyone is exposed to. Even if his music is not something you'd add to your playlist I highly recommend watching Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion The Prayer live with David Foster. Andrea Bocelli has a song out, FALL ON ME that his son, Matteo Bocelli, one of his sons sings with him. It is SO beautiful. and endearing... it speaks of their love.. The song is in both Italian and English and includes some wonderful pictures as well.

It's so sad to think about due to the fact that he's never "seen" the faces of his children -but I totally agree with other comments here that the duet with his son, Matteo, that's called "Fall on me". If you have his handicap in the back of your head it will bring so much joy from how much love there is in the video. Recommend the musicvideo before their live performances simply because of the things they put in the video that hightens the family dynamic. Also: Fun fact. Andrea Bocelli just lives a litte walk from a small arena where he used to perform live from in his town -so that he could sing and entertain people without going on tour. (Not updated on if he still does (or if he still lives in the same house to this date) it but that's at least what I've read)

They have another song together in italian called amo soltanto te, you should hear that too

Ed is such a creative soul! He has versions of this song with different artists, but this is my favorite! Andrea's voice is fantastic! ❤💕💖
He also has sung a version in Irish. Irish can be VERY tricky to sing if you're not used to speaking it.
