Looks great but i dont get the point of black basing if you do panel lining

My goal with black basing was to give the variety to the whole surface, not only panel lines

Can you tell me about the mottled top coat effect? Is the paint highly thinned? Are you using a low pressure?

I use Mr Paint colors, they are airbrush ready so in theory you don't have to thin them. But to get best results and apply semi-transparent layers to build highlights and shadows I thin them a little and make the pressure lower. As these paints are airbrush ready it is quite easy to start with them. Just apply the color into the airbrush and play with pressure until you're happy with how the paint works.
