Lana Del Rey and Quavo performing the live debut of their duet “Tough” at Fenway Park in Boston, MA during Lana’s one-off birthday stadium show on June 20, 2024.
This is the last song I recorded and she only did one more after it (Video Games). The crowd then sang happy birthday to Lana right before the Fenway staff kicked us out. The show started 2 hours late (10:30PM) and only went on for a little over 1 hour. It was a hot mess.

It's not because I am a FAN of LDR but this song is INCREDIBLE. It's REALLY rich AND fun, with an R&B kick, but a classy R&B of the 2000's, if you know what I mean?
The song arrangement definitely gives the impression of 2000’s R&B ballads. Because all the genres particularly within the song (Americana, Hip Hop/Rap; Trap, **POP; Country [I mean it’s popular music for a reason aka our country is always 1# in **musicality, modernly with our diversity within history-a TOUGH history])
@@kircinnamon8496 Absolutely, but it's very subtle and very well layered - like in most of her songs. Actually, Lana et al are very careful with "layering" thing, nothing is over the top. I tend to say The Greatest is my favourite song, although I don't have ONE, and it's clearly a true basic rock'n'roll song with a LDR stamp. Wild at Heart in my opinion does the same thing but in a much more complex way (Chemtrails in general is musically incredible). I deviated a bit, ADHD >

@@kircinnamon8496 Thank you, I appreciate it, very kind of you. Chemtrails (album) is really true Americana, in every aspect. And I believe the greatness of this album is not perceived by most people. The storyline bit on your comment is present not only in the song, but in the whole album, which is a big Americana thing. Theoretically speaking, you can only “release the beast” of COTCC if you sit, relax and listen to the whole of it, jumping tracks is forbidden lol
So, all in all, this is a 10/10 album for me, because it is so musically rich and beautifully written, filled with everything that makes a good Americana album, like nostalgia, the American Dream, and the complexities of suburban life. The album’s sound is rich with folk influences, invoking images of small-town America, open highways, and pastoral landscapes. Its lyrical content reflects a longing for a simpler, idyllic past, while also addressing the darker undercurrents of contemporary American society.
