5 years overdue, but I got there in the end with it. Lots of stop/starts from me. Will never be good enough, but my DJ friend Alex Porter posted it on social media and WhatsApped me the responses, I was little overwhelmed with some of the comments. I always think everything I make is terrible once its released, and this is no exception. I'd love to argue with them, but i'm also grateful at the same time that someone can enjoy it, and although it still isn't good enough, maybe it wasn't all wasted. If only one person went on to discover telented artists such as Dave Lee, Dimitri From Paris, Dr Packer or Michael Gray from this track, then, I'd be more than content with that.

Because the original song of this song is too outstanding, it is not easy for me to like the remixed works. There are too many people who have remixed this song, including famous DJs, producers and excellent musicians. I only like two of them. The three versions are still unable to keep up with the original work. The song has a unique and unique temperament, so it is a very difficult work to transform and must retain a considerable degree of the beauty and texture of the original song. You use the disco style It perfectly interprets this song. The luxurious orchestral arrangement brings out the elegance and nobility of the song itself, but sweeps away the coldness of the original song and adds a passionate rhythm. The sexy style is just right, not too much and not too little, which makes me involuntarily dancing, I think you have given us a very advanced demonstration

I have always thought that the original version produced by Bobby Orlando is the best. However I don't have a problem with some of the remixes either.
@@john26262 I have a problem with people who just throw a drum loop over an original track and call it a remix and get 50k views, and that's happened plenty with this track online. I wanted this remix to sound like the Pet Shop Boys, Daft Punk and Chic had spent a day in the studio to cook something up, then they got 'Dimitri From Paris' to remix it. I think I failed miserably. That being said, its by far the best remix I've ever made. There's 20 years of self taught production skills gone into this, and it sounds really polished and well balanced compared to my earlier work. Still not musically good enough for my own self imposed high standards though, but I suppose nothing I make ever will be.

Beside the Official pet shop boys versions of west end girls i only appreciated the work of Sasha. ' til i discovered yours . 2 différent styles but keeping the essence of the original. Encore bravo 👏🔥

That is my musical lineage, from being a teen into 'Soulful House', to being in my early 20's into Disco House, to being in my late late 30's and to right now, in my mid 40's and being into 'Nu Disco'. You just defined this remix perfectly in terms of what I wanted it to sound like. The worst thing that can happen is a little rejection and that wouldn’t be the end of the world, would it!?…So go for it! That’s how everybody else does it. Ive sent so much music off over the last 20 years to every label I've ever adored and aside from a polite few took the time to empathetically decline,, I've never even got a reply back from the majority including Simon's labels... He bought 'Soulfuric' of which to me is my generations equivalent to 'Stax' , 'Tamela', and 'Salsoul' labels in the history of soulful dance music, but alas... I know my lane in music.... and in life, and i'm content with it. Its not good enough, mate, that's life :)
Where did you get the vocal tracks?
Pulled the vocals out of the original using isotope RX11 and waves plugin to isolate the width
I love ❤️ the video (it's not a good idea to piss off granny since she was known to get down and dirty at Studio 54). It was a gnarly experience though just to get to the west end, especially when I was built to last (where's the disco on the dead east end walls ?)
