I like the older ones when Phil would point out the more technical or physical aspects of the home that need to be looked at, giving us his expertise as a house inspector. I wish that he did that in the newer ones.

Enjoying all of these shows from Canada. These used to be on TV here but sadly no longer. British homes and the way of buying them so very different but that makes viewing so much interesting.

Ahhh, that days when a house was a reasonable amount of money! I feel terrible about young people today having to take on so much debt to get onto the property ladder. Love watching these old episodes…!

The young and the mature Kirstie is sooo different! Phil is not so much, he is as cheeky as always... LOL

That girl needs to be a real estate agent. You can tell she's a quick learner and is very sociable and level headed. Good job well done!

Use email, it’s a brilliant tool….. Yeah! We know that. 17 years later there’s hardly no other communication.
I love how quickly things have changed to normal nowadays.

Just looked up the house. The house they chose was bought in 2002 for 95,000 and sold in 2005 for 190,000. It was last sold in 2022 for 355,000.

Wtf. 95k in 2002 is roughly 190k in 2022. So it literally sold for almost double accounting for inflation. This country is going downhill man.

I would like to know what is a reception room. Am I right to assume that it is any room with a door to the outside?

Why does the UK use so many garish colors...and to top it off in a different bright color in each room? Weird!

The banister would have been white originally? In a Victorian house? I don't think so ..

I loved all the exposed wood; but then my tastes were formed in the '80s.

Kirstie is kind of pushy with her ideas. I agree, leave that beautiful wood tone, doors and cupboards too. White can look cheap and cold in that vintage of home IMO.
