    I wonder if these two are still married. Twice the husband said he needed a space to get away from his wife, to stop her from nagging. I know we all need our own space, but it's the way he said it. It didn't sound like he was joking. Thanks for the upload.

    6:13 Whoopsie! She's leaning against the balcony rail. What happened to her fear of heights?

      It’s a lot lower than that penthouse apartment which towered above the surrounding buildings

    I just google the Brewery Bond apartments in North Sheffield and a two bedroom with terrace that looked amazing (high end kitchen and bathroom) was 450,000 pounds in 2022.

    My thought was that if they knock down too many walls there won't be enough wall space for his paintings!

    If you take out two major walls to increase the room size, don't you loose the wall space for art that they said was their priority?

    Groovy? I grew up in the 60's and 70's and we didn't even use that word.

    • @fieldvole
      @fieldvole 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Then you're simply out of touch! There's plenty of 60s and 70s pop culture using the word 'groovy'. Here are a few examples:
      "Movin' and Groovin'", a 1962 song by Sam Cooke.
      "A Groovy Kind of Love", a song written by Toni Wine and Carole Bayer Sager in 1964 and popularized a year later by The Mindbenders.
      "We've Got a Groovey Thing Goin'", the flip side of the 1965 hit single "The Sounds of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel
      .
      "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)", a 1966 song also by Simon & Garfunkel
      .
      "Somebody Groovy", a song from the 1966 debut album If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears by The Mamas & the Papas
      .
      "Groovin'", a 1967 song by the Young Rascals
      .
      "Workin' On a Groovy Thing", a 1968 song by Neil Sedaka
      .
      "Groovy Grubworm", a 1969 song by Harlow Wilcox
      .
      "Groovy Situation", a 1970 hit by Gene "The Duke of Earl" Chandler
      .
      "Groovin' With Mr. Bloe", a 1970 hit by Mr. Bloe
      .
      "Groovy Movies", a song by The Kinks released in 1973 on The Great Lost Kinks Album
      .
      "Party Is A Groovy Thing", a 1975 song by The People's Choice
      .
      "Groovy Times", a 1979 song by The Clash
      .
      Ironic use of the word started with a 1974 film "The Groove Tube", which satirized the American counterculture of the time, but the irony of using this word (used ironically on the show which was filmed in approx. 2001) peaked in the 90s and early 00s with Austin Powers "Groovy baby!"

      Yes it was used often in music and pop culture but in everyday life I rarely heard it used. I certainly didn't live a sheltered life by any means. I was there.

    I'm confused. She said she is scared of heights, so the penthouse is a no. But then she is standing out in the balcony of the third floor unit. Interesting??

    Soooo… how do I know which walls in my Victorian flat are safe to take down? I know the ones I want to remove but is there some test I should do first?

    • @serenakoleno9338
      @serenakoleno9338 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You need to know if they are structurally supporting anything. You also need to know what is hidden within them. Plumbing, electrical and heating/cooling ductwork can all be inside. Just about any wall can be removed. It all comes down to cost based on complexity of the job. Some are easy DIY, some are very complicated and need a structural engineer and multiple trades to reroute stuff. Good luck.

      Load bearing; get a professional. It's not quite as cavalier as Kirsty MAKES it seem

    • @itoo3654
      @itoo3654 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Load bearing walls can't be removed. Get an engineer, it's too serious a matter.

    Did I imagine that or was she out on the BALCONY of the riverside flat? But she doesn’t do balconies. Very odd couple, don’t really seem to get on or like each other much.
