When u do a small notch like that never take off ur bed , the bed keeps the frame from warpin and keeps it nice and level also always have the spare off ..I do this for a living..also do u see where u cut since ur new to ur grinder in those areas use pivot points drill em in so theyll be rounded and not straight up like that ..makes the fame weak and can break w time and will sag making ur frame belly flop..other than that keep on trucking bro
@@peloteroopt7918 I’m a lil new to drop trucks lmao idk what I need to drop it all I know is that you need a c notch and from the looks of it I can make it myself but idk what I would need or what would go welded
Is it still holding up good? I have a flux welder too but I don’t know if it will be strong enough. I don’t plan on towing hauling anything in the bed anyway.
🤣🤣 good but mig with argon is alot better and holds stronger but am glad its still on i just drop bags on my 95 my self am a iron worker by trade keep up the good work bro
@@gerardoespinoza762 nope sorry not true bro lol flux penetrates better than mig..mig is mostly for a nice pretty weld ..flux might be dirty but it penetrates way better ..
Yeah no gas that was our first try on using a welder lol but now I have a gas welder and yes I'm grinding the frame for a much better weld and sorry you couldn't get any tips off this old video maybe look at my resent video and hope u get some better tips 💯💯💯

what y mean?
Those welds look good to me man. I don’t give a flux about perfection on a hidden part. Strength is all that matters lol.
Lol yeah its been a year already and welds still holding up 😁
@@peloteroopt7918 very nice. How are you enjoying the ride?
@@SirGuidemere91 very good
Good welds but for next time grind the paint off the c notch and the frame to have clean metal

Thanks bro its still holding on pretty good
Please tell me he used to grinder to take off all the paint from the notch and frame🤦♂️ so the welds can actually Work lol
Yes he did
I have that welder. Do you think it would hold the weld for a long time for a moster step notch?
I did a monster on my single cad with that same welder and its been on there for 2 years already
What’s the lowest u can go in the back wit a c notch
6"
8 is maximum. i don’t recommend more than that unless you got monster notch.
I did mine without taking the bed out drilled some holes and nasty weld some of them, será que va a funcionar?

Do I need a step notch if I’m on a 11inch drop in the back or can I go with a regular c notch?
I would do a step notch for that 11
