I wasn't born til the 90s but I'm very much a fan of this band. I only heard of them cause I had two roomates who were brothers and both hardcore punk fans. As I personally am a thrasher, we were totally perfect roomates and spent hours blasting many hardcore albums. I would put on a few thrash albums and we would all party and love it.
Hell yeah!! Scott Miller on drums! Went to a Agent Orange rehearsal sessions in Fullerton back in the day with his younger brother Mark (my buddy at st. julianas-haha)! We got busted for listening to Agent Orange at school! Parents called and tapes confiscated! Grounded for 2 weeks!! Scott taught me many beats on the drums! In his parents garage, with this same sick drum set, he taught me to put oil in between two skins, clamp em down, for the best punk rock sound! Loved Agent Orange until Scott was out of the band... Wish I knew where Mark and Scott are these days! Man, I have stories...
@@DirectWarning So this one time after we got reprimanded for listing to Agent Orange on my hidden Walkman and grounded by my parents, we got busted again! Scott gave us some Agent Orange buttons! We pinned them on our uniforms at lunch! Busted again! St. Juliana's staff took my buttons. They didn't call my parents. Then during basket ball, a school-mate bagged on Agent Orange and said I was a jerk for supporting war chemical! I punched him and my coach was not happy! Suspended for a day and grounded for 3 weeks with no skateboarding! 6th grade rules!! Man, good times! So many more stories and memories! Long live Scott Miller and my old buddy Mark! Where they now??
@@lordsolo Haha! Maybe? Oh man, then the talent show!! Scott taught us Bloodstains! Great song for a catholic school talent show?! We went to the audition... Oh man, that went well! We still had two nuns at St. Juliana's and the priest was there as well as the teachers... Ended the song with complete silence!! I did think I saw Sr. Noreen bobbing her head just a bit to the beat.. It was a no go and our parents were reprimanded! Scott and Mark's parents convinced the school to let us play if we changed the lyrics! Complete change of song to; "Greasestains" Haha!! The new Agent Orange hamburger song! Classic! For the live show, I had to put towels over my drums and cymbals to quiet them down for the staff! The crowd went crazy, priest was still and Sr. Noreen in the front row was moving side to side to the song! Ended up getting 3nd place! There is a VHS video of this show that I'm still trying to track down by "Kelly's" parents... Good times indeed! Take me back to 6th grade!! Haha So many stories!
@@ericwilliam2835 I've got a question about something I can't find any information about. Do you know why Scott left Agent Orange? Was it due to some kind of disagreement in the band or did he just want to move on with his life? I tried reaching out to Mike Palm with some other band-related questions on Instagram, because he is kinda active there, but he doesn't respond to any comments or messages. Another question without going into any private details, do you know if Scott is even alive these days? I mean, it is strange to me that one of my favourite bands' drummer simply left in 1989, and since then, we haven't heard anything of him. He hasn't been involved with any other music-related stuff, he hasn't had any public appearances despite being in a famous band, and no one currently in Agent Orange has ever mentioned him. It's like he was swept from the face of the Earth. I just want to know if he is okay, alive and well, because although the band's Wikipedia page doesn't say anything about his current status, it's due to the fact that the fanbase hasn't heard anything of him for more than 35 years.
Played with Agent Orange because the local opener dropped off when they heard they wouldnt be paid...i offered to pay to play it....was a free show and completely packed. usually it sounds good on paper and the big band isnt even watching, but they had nowhere to hide. Didnt play any anything off This Is The Voice, but killed it. saw them early 00'd with Steve Soto on bass in a tiny club in Toronto. So Strange rivals anything from Darkness.
1983! Way ahead of their time. My best memory of Agent Orange is seeing them play on Chrissy Field (now a National Park) for the first Warped Tour in San Francisco. Dick Dale was up after them and he had Prarie Prince on drums who jumped in with Mike Palm and Co.! Seeing all this surf music right under the Golden Gate Bridge drinking snuck in beer was a great day! Oh yeah, NOFX were killer too!

This is a pretty epic video. As a native of the bay area I got to see them perform at least 6 times. All during a 2 year window. Once even sitting in on the dressing room interview by a KFJC reporter prior to their show. I felt my blood pumping watching this tonight.
www.setlist.fm/setlist/agent-orange/1983/music-machine-los-angeles-ca-5b9963c4.html They played the Music Machine several times over the years, but '86 seems to be the year they didn't.
A very talented band that doesn't get nearly enough praise these days, R.I.P James Levesque🙏
I could not agree more ...his grace in atmosphere !

Hard to believe this was 1983. Their look and sound is a decade ahead.
Thanks good Men
that's what I always thought about them. They had a sound that many others emulated after this.
It's definitely not 83 it's 86
Because media doesn't cover what's actually going on, in real time
Underrated band!! Many skate sessions in Brasil early 85’s, listen them until this days

That band lived 2 apartments away from me in 83. That gold curtain screams The Shamrock, just a few streets away.

So onboard with your last sentence. 🎯
6 songs in 14 minutes. Fucking love it!

This set is so good. How can a band like agent orange be so undocumented in their prime?
seen them at the Cameo theater, Miami in 1987. ALL (DESCENDENTS) were the openers and it still to this day is the best live show I've ever been to.
My cousin bought me an Agent Orange Album on vinyl 'This is the Voice' round about 1987, I've still got it.

God, I wish there was more.
Bought their debut 12" on Posh Boy records back in the day. Still have it.
One of the all-time greats. Fuckin-A.
We met agent orange last night and they were really cool nice guys. Put on a fantastic show!
Happy Christmas Eve Agent Orange 🧡
Mikey has some Cure moves going on.
ON MAY 3rd 2023 they will be in WEST PALM BEACH FL at a venue called “respectables” for a show don’t miss out!!!!!!
I saw agent orange
What a band

I was the only person I knew who was into AA back in the day. They still feel like my own personal band! 😂😂
wow what an amazing show
Saw them at Casa de la Raza in Santa Barbara back in the 90s. Great show from a great band.
The Last Good Buy
best band ever
Next month!!! Wooo!!
Flipside #1 - rare one! Agent Orange got flipside to pull this one for using their footage w/o consent from the band.
Nice Video
Underrated.
rivers edge brought me here!
Agent orange got all pissed off about this release right? Flipside stopped selling it.
Never seen anymore AO footage surface :/
Any other AO footage I have is audio only, sadly.
@@FullmetalArchivistWhy is that???? Dude i’m so starved of og agent orange shows. This one is so sick though. Any way you could post the audios????
All the AO shows I have are on the channel, just put Agent Orange into to channels search bar and they should all pop up.
ground zero of melodic hardcore
The Offspring bit hard from this band.
And T.S.O.L.!
This video was uploaded the first time I took lsd
Anybody got any idea what camera, or type of camera, this was filmed on?
It has that warm Super 8 look to it, but I don't think 8mm offered audio. 8mm with overdub maybe?
The tracers on the lights means it was shot with a CCD - probably straight onto analog magnetic tape. See 6:06

@@FullmetalArchivist I'm so old I can't tell years anymore
If my memory serves me correctly, I think by 86 Mike was using that crazy voxx guitar with all the switches on it.
Thats the same Gibby SG he had forever. And this is 83. Me and Joey Shithead helped them load in to get in free.
Ok thanks 🙏👍👍👍😅
