What an amazing and descriptive take on Mj's BAD album.Didn't take long to tug at my emotions,as most things involving MJ do. Tony your narration was wonderful;I felt your enthusiasm, wonder, joy and pride. It feels so good to love Michael.
the article defending bad is great and well written, but I didn't see anything wrong with the original tweet that led to it. It's just their opinion/preference, and they make valid points. Bad, despite its success and iconic status, may be his least cohesive album, sonically or thematically. it's not ignorant or ill-informed to think so. I disagree that it is his weakest though, I think it is great in its own right, and doesn't need to be consistent, because the strength of the songs and production is the selling point of the record.
Thanks Mira! I’m glad you thought my article was great and well-written. The part I didn’t understand was calling ‘Bad’ “pop perfection” and “easily his weakest.” (Fundamentally, that’s not possible.) If he feels ‘Bad’ isn’t as cohesive or he doesn’t enjoy the flow, I get it. But to disregard the quality of the music and later say “it feels the most complete” strikes me as odd. I shared my article with the guy on Twitter and asked him if he could talk. He turned my offer down and his followers thought I blew it out of proportion. (I don’t mind the criticism. It’s the logic behind his opinion that doesn’t make complete sense.)
@@chrislacy1990 despite the confusing wording, It was clear that he was praising the album for having perfect pop songs and for being the era that is his most complete (in terms of the tour/visuals/style), but it ranks the lowest because of the inconsistency in sound/theme/flow... That doesn't make Bad his weakest to you or to me, but it does for them. We all have our own metric for ranking MJ's albums and that's alright. Doesn't make you, me or them any more or less ignorant or ill-informed. That is the only thing I took issue with in your article. With all that being said, I appreciate your advocacy for Bad, I think it gets a lot of flack at times, so keep doing what you're doing.
@@mirak7470 What you said makes more sense. Perhaps I would’ve interpreted it differently had he used the term “least favorite” instead of “easily his weakest.” (Some might say I’m nitpicking. At the same time, life has taught me that what you say and how you say it are equally important.)
Thank you for making a STRONG point of this article. MJ is a MASTER GENIUS,

@@chrislacy1990 I suppose him saying it is "easily his weakest" was a bit triggering for fans of the Bad album and elicited a strong reaction.
