Adeboye is a lier, I too was the secretary in one of his churches here in zambia. We used to send money 85% of the total income of the church every month to Nigeria. I always tell people, don't fight God's fight! Let God judge those whom He has called, Christianity is a race, let everyone remain on their lane! No one has ever risen in the process of bringing people down.
A Pastor who has served under the authority of Pst. Adeboye for years, probably been paid salary or benefitted financially and spiritually suddenly realises the system of which he was a part was bad, why did he take so long to realise that after so many years or was the Spirit of God /Discernment not in you all these years?
All I can say is may God have mercy! Let's work out our salvation with fear and trembling, why? Because , whether by death or by rapture, we are going to give an account of ourselves personally before God. Jesus is coming soon, let that be our focus. God bless
Jesus admonishes Christians to Judge each other; it is strange because many christians instead judge those who they think are unbeliever, but for those outside the bible said we should not judge them and that we should leave that judgement to God, but for those within, we can judge. Paul made an example of this by publicly rebuking Peter, who was the Bishop and leader of the first church. I cor 5:12-13.
Anna Ede, are you saying that we should keep quiet and let all these fake pastors continue to collect money from the poor ? Was Jesus Christ demanded money from His followers when He was alive? Enough is enough, all these money grabbing fake preachers should be stopped.
It's a responsibility of enlighten Christians to point wrong doctrine in the body of Christ.
So the people that are suffering under these systems, the people whose salvation could be under threat we should just leave? Wouldn't that be selfish and at complete odds with what God has truly called us to do. And I hear this thing of "bad publicity" for the Church a lot. What's that? Why are we so bothered with what others think, that's far too much eye service and is a plague in many facets of Nigerian society. Our concern should be for what is RIGHT. Do you know how long the Catholic Church tried to cover up the rampant pedophilia of some of their priests because of "bad publicity". That's beyond reprehensible. Say and stand for what is right with boldness and virtue please. Finally, if anyone advises you you cannot debate the scriptures after reading the Bible yourselves tell them to remove their brain and give it back to our creator because they are saying he didn't know what he was doing when he gave us brains.
