Lol... you're the first person to ever give me a super thanks. For the last 5 or 6 months, I was wondering how this worked, and how I would know if someone would give me a super thanks. Now I know. Thanks!
I have a 06 scion xb my question is my ac condenser just leaked out all my freon and I have been driving for a few weeks with no a.c. I bought the ac condenser and do you think my ac compressor is no good anymore? My issue was only a leak on my ac condenser but I don't know if me driving with the compressor spinning kills it. Thanks.
@RustBeltAuto thank you I just thought that I read that somewhere on these cars a couple years ago that the compressor with no freon in the system kills the compressor. Hope it didn't I'll be installing the condenser tomorrow. Thank you.
@RustBeltAuto @tonycrumrine9947 ok I did the condenser change and I vacuum pumped it and filled it with 12oz of freon and it's been cold all day I measured 46 degrees at idle and a little less on acceleration. So I should be good not sure how cold it should be but ill monitor it and see what happens with the compressor. Thanks.
I have this same car, but my coolant keeps boiling over and sprays out the reservoir tank. I already replaced the Thermostat, but the problem still exists. I think it might be a fan, but I am not sure. I also noticed that the Cold temp sigh turns on when the car turns on, Even if it is 111 degrees outside. I think maybe my fan is not turning on, because it happens more if I turn my AC on Full.
@@RustBeltAuto yessir it does, I keep thinking that maybe its the fan module or whatever that thingy is, or the coolant temp sensor, but I genuinely have not even tried to see if its the relay. (kind of not a mechanic, but I do know that this thingy needs to be fixed so imma fix it lol)
@@kaydogcreations If the fan is working, and it cools both the condenser, and radiator, then you have mechanical issues. Thermostat, head gasket, bad water pump impeller, Etc.
@@RustBeltAuto I'm thinking now, that it might be a good time to get a full diagnostics to check out what all is wrong with it. I will try my best to check each one of those things. I did put a brand new thermostat the other day because I thought that it was the cause, but it still happened after the new thermostat was properly installed.
Cowboys from Hell was a good album, but I'm more partial to Far Beyond Driven. I think that is my favorite. I need to fix the A/C on my 2002 E350, driving that thing in the summer is like being in a oven... Where do I start!? Do a morning live stream, I'm working from home and bored!!!
Thank you for sharing...I was able to replace my condenser thanks to your video!
Was it bigger than you original one?
Thanks!

Should be fine.

Does the fan turn on when you turn on your AC?
Stick it in the hole.
