The method I use to break the bead is to work the breaker around the rim to break the rubber seal away from the rim. Over time older tires tend to adhere to the rim and sometimes the bead needs cleaning after the dismount to get proper sealing of the new tires..

Awesome review! Hopefully we'll see more of these things. I have never used one but it may be worth it to have.

Thanks! It's definately going to get use in th near future with the 69 Mercury project car. Videos are in the works for that so keep an eye on the channel for those updates. 🤘

With experience installation is much easier than what you showed I worked at tire shops between other jobs in my youth

Working at a tire shop, you would have a nicely expensive machine to do it quicker and easier too 😁

@@JrZCarZ Yeah but there's a trick to how you line up the tire in relation to the rim that would be universal

You shouldn't have used soapy water b4 breaking the bead. That's one of the reasons why the foot of the bead breaker was slipping off the tire. Soapy water is for removing and installing the bead over the rim.

It did the same thing on tires without the soapy water so it didnt make a difference. Putting something behind the breaker stopped it from slipping and broke the bead free in one or 2 attempts. Others have said the same thing

Soapy water sometimes does help a stuck bead to break loose. Just like WD 40 helps lubricate a nut to do the same…
