Music that captures your imagination and emotion is the best. The tracks in the Megaman Zero series really make me feel that I'm in whatever location/situation the music is trying to portray whether it be a wasteland, or the only place with nature in the entire planet.
About time this song got a truly excellent remix. The "Remastered' set of songs from the first Zero game were pretty lackluster. The Remastered albums for 2, 3 and 4 were excellent and only got better as time went on, but Zero 1 really got the shaft when it came to getting great, truly remastered music. Its wonderful to see them revisiting a good number of those songs and doing them right!
A blast to the past, I am slightly reminded of some Rockman X elements of music. Fitting, as Neo Arcadia was run by the 4 Guardians, direct successors of X, and of course Copy X.
Megaman Zero was the first game that had a few good tunes in the series, but this one for the first game was setting you up for how epic Zero will be in the future.

Why did the humans put Copy X as Neo Arcadia's leader? The Four Guardians had X's DNA in them, but Copy X didn't have any of that, so I don't know why they thought putting him in charge was a good idea
Yes, there are four for MMZ 1-4 individually (Remastered, Idea, Telos, and Physis), and then there's Mythos, which we are listening to right now (contains select tracks from all four games and gives them more of a rock/metal flair).

Well, Mega Man kind of went against programming in Megaman 7 where he kinda almost killed Wily. And X originally would have in Megaman Zero since Capcom had the original X as the antagonist at a point.
There are 0 reasons why Zero is the best character of all time. He doesn't need one.

this version doesn't have the Sigma Fortress reference at the start though, I'd say Z1's remastered album still had charm to it

This remix is awesome. This song always gave me an e. c, "We're at the end of our battle!" kind of feeling. It pumps me up man.
Glad Capcom redid this remix. They totally murdered it the other time. It's my favorite tune in the first game.
In case anyone was interested, the greek text on the CD cover art says Mythos, meaning 'Myth'. I think is incorrect, he's more of a 'Legend'.
