    I just wanna commend her for not thinking ONE product would change ALL the colors in her hair. She knew each color needed something different to become similar. She was well informed and I think she did an excellent job with what she was working with. Red is difficult af and she was doing it alone

    I am of the opinion that when applying bleach, it needs to be creamy, not runny and laid so thick on to thin sections that you can't see the hair. It is better to have too much than not enough. Otherwise, it seems to dry out and stop working too soon on top of the uneven results.

    • @RavenVargas27
      @RavenVargas27 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Exactly when I used to bleach I mixed it like cream and always made sure every section was covered

      Agreed! Also, having 2 timers and mixing it in 2 batches, doing half the hair each time eliminates the issues when one has a lot of hair - if it takes you half an hour to apply, first part will have started to overprocess before 2nd,& 2nd half mixture will have begun to decrease in effectiveness before you get to it.

    Such a gorgeous young woman! She looks pretty as a blonde, but….. her natural hair was so much more beautiful! …And I find that as I age and my own hair becomes less beautiful with the passing years, I SO wish young women would appreciate their true hair color and their own natural beauty! ❤

    • @profe3330
      @profe3330 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I was thinking that too. And she has such a beautiful, delicate face. If she really felt like she had to do SOMETHING (I think we all know that mood!) a more refined color would have been better. Maybe a warm, dark brown with caramel or deep golden highlights? We don't ALL have to be icy blonde!

    • @adro13
      @adro13 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed! I used to mess with my hair color so much as a “kid.” I didn’t appreciate the rich auburn I had. The color just gets more and more dull with age. I want that old hair color (among other things) back!

    I have black box dye on my hair for a long time, I stopped dying it about six months ago, I’m 73 so I’m going to grey just letting it grow out.

    • @lmtetreau
      @lmtetreau 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If you find the drastic change too much .. I went grey about 10 yrs ago and had my hairdresser use a "camo color" . It's essentially Just for Men, so it washes out really gradually and it makes it a little easier to grow out grey, esp from a dark color. Good luck!!

    She did a better job than most, she was really particular about avoiding her roots. I think if she used a less demanding colour than grey, the final result could have looked really good. Grey will show up the most minimal differences in the underlying colour.

    I've been dying my hair for 35ish yrs. However I only bleach my hair if I'm doing purple💜, sea green or RED❤. I have very dark brown hair so yeah it takes a time or two to make it light enough to take those colors. That being said, while I knew a lot of the tips you give each fail teaches me at least 1 new tool to add to my knowledge base. That's why I love watching your videos.

    This really reminded me of a time when I had cap highlights (it was the mid-nineties and I was a teenager, I didn't know any better but my hairdresser should have) and wanted to have really red streaks in my nearly black hair. She stripped pieces of my hair down to white and used the brightest red I have ever had on my head. Within about a month I had what I can only describe as skunk stripes throughout the black. I don't know how it happened they didn't even fade to pink, the red just noped the heck right out of there

    About 14 mins in, I actually quite like the orange and pink bits. They remind me of a sunset. Her poor hair - it looks like it's really struggling to hold on. I think she's managed to get a decent result, but I think she'd be better as a beige or golden blonde.

    I'm amazed her hair didn't fall off!
    I bleach my hair at home using HB's advice (except for the get someone to help because a) I'm nigel-no-mates and b) I'm a control freak - the two may be related 😁) Mostly it goes ok, have had hairdressers tell me it's a reasonable job. I'm now trying to grow it out from a pixie with undercut, and even with my best efforts to protect the ends they are getting trashed. Now stuck with a dilemma - do I stop bleaching and live with my ugly salt-and-pepper regrowth and bleached ends, or just accept it'll take longer to grow out if I keep having to have the dead ends trimmed. I'm also a tight-arse, who doesn't want to waste all that BlondMe! 😜
    A safe and happy festive season to Hair Buddha and family, and all my fellow fans. ❤

      This needs to be said more . The blonde obsession is so unflattering on darker skintone bc it's completely unnatural . I'm Irish & Scottish natural blonde so , if I wore hair color & texture of a different ethnicity other than my own then I would look awkward & unnatural.

    Hi and Merry Christmas! I need to say yet again, why do these people think 30 minutes is the magic number? Yes, watch the time but more importantly to watch the processing by wiping off the bleach or color in several spots BEFORE washing it out. Wella 050 is an additive to drab out the the color or add silver to a color. Clairol had two of them back in the day, Ermine and Starlight numbers 50 and 51. We would add a capful or two to color never used it alone. 🎄🎄🎄

      Exactly 💯 correct ! Blonde is not universal. No matter the undertone, her skin is not right for it .

    I will never understand how they think their hair is gonna turn out, while putting bare MINIMUM of bleach, I think all the bleach fails on youtube would turn out at least 2 times better if they only put enough bleach, you can barely see it! 😑

    The first girl should have just done a bleach bath first

    That end hair is not pretty the orange chunks with the ash is horrendous. Hopefully this was her lesson to go to a salon when she’s feeling the need for a change.

    OMG!! why is this trend of grey,ash blonde hair just not going away!! Its been around forever You cannot achieve this on your own. Especially with previous products. Give it up girls. It always looks swampy and drains peoples complexion. I am old. I started doing hair dressing 3 years ago but Ive always been obsessed. The black to blonde is ridiculous. It might feel ok.
    It wont grow. It will snap. What is so wrong with warm colours?! I have for the first time got highlights. Im an ash blonde but Im going white. I got a pixie left my hair then highlighted so i could mix with the white.. If you are lightening you hair just be patient. I sound like I'm preaching. I have messed my hair up more than you I promise. Its ok. Just dont expect long hair. Ash is not for everyone. Warm colours. Even champagne blonde is hard but less harsh. Please let this grey blonde go away. Leave it for us oldies and embrace many colours. So bored. Sorry rant over
