  • The government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has given some business operators near this bridge in Arnos Vale seven day, ending September 21, 2021, to remove their structures.
    Chief surveyor, Keith Francis, in his letter, said that the government will soon begin the process of renovating and upgrading the bridge to access the temporary schools and other developments at the decommissioned E.T. Joshua Airport.
    However, the notice to vacate is not sitting well with the small business owners and residents, some of whom have been operating in the area for more than two decades.
    Some say that the notice period is too short, while others say they have nowhere else to go and the business is the only source of income for multiple generations.

    They should be relocated not abruptly shutdown their businesses this is their livelihood it's not right. At the same time the quality of life in SVG is very poor some areas need to be upgraded.

      That’s bc we’re the same nation of ppl scattered in the four corners of the Earth- children of the slave trade. We’re currently in captivity under a curse placed upon us by The Most High God in Christ Jesus the blk Messiah bc we sinned against The Most High after we promised to uphold his laws, statues & commandments observed during the time of Moses, the prophet.
      It’s biblically proven that we’re the Israelites, true descendants of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. Read the book of Deuteronomy chp 28 to gain knowledge & watch videos about the true Israelites for a better understanding. All the best Ann.

    11:28 did just say he pays $10:00 per year in taxes? No wonder they refuse to leave this area. The letter or notice clearly states that they will be compensated for loss and relocation. It is difficult to relocate but we must look at the bigger picture here folks,redevelopment of this area will be beneficial to the country. Can anyone say if the vendors were given prior notices to evacuate said premises?

    if the move is a must ..relocation should be , just like at argyle. the people can not just dump their livelihood in the garbage and move , its not the normal and the right thing to do from the jump, its only inhumane personnel will agree to do such..

    i understands u guys been there fuh 25 years, but is the government land and they want it to develop the bridge and area, u guys living and keeping the place like getto hole ,just look at those shaks it nah look good, build nice decent homes ok. but many of u love the slum living, am sure with the 3 month notice they will come with police and buldoze all,some u will get hurt, u guyss can get some stalls on wheels to u can move around and avoid the city issue, adhere to laws

    • @hannaisrl3707
      @hannaisrl3707 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, make it look attractive & quit the slum lord mentality- it does not uphold the true integrity of this beautiful Island. People need to be more educated about business management & entrepreneurship, instead of gaining a scrappy living totally by illegally setting up their shabby business practice on government property for cheap & then expect the government to be merciful. It’s best to follow the laws of the land, and if you may- please construct small decent & professional structures which would beautify the island instead of having it looking so extremely third world & impoverished, quit fighting against the government who by no means can basically disrupt your livelihood by will or by force. Wishing everyone the best foot forward.
