Hey, all I wanna say is amazing job. Up and beyond any other Serana expasion mod I've seen. This is exactly what I wanted - keeping Serana as Serana in TES world, not modern world. If anything I would recommend/add in my humble opinion is a slight change in her morals/empathy before and after being cured, since being a vampire is being a divotee to Molag Bal and i could personally feel that through some of og dialogue lines apart from the ones that implied her intent to keep vampirism. Also, as inspiration I would recommend to watch "A Narrative Critique of Dawnguard" video on youtube, since author provides a great critique to quests and dialogues including Seranas, and what could be done to make it better. Keep up the great work. I'm looking forward to every future updates!

On the topic of morals and such, if you haven't watch the original showcase video, she actually addresses that matter in the Dragonborn questline, and how she is aware of the attrocities she committed and how she turned a blind eye on the suffering she caused, and that now she wants to be better than that.
I say this before watching the video you recommended to me, so maybe there's a point you're trying to tell me that I haven't noticed yet. Either way, I'll watch it after lunch 👍

Wow, the lines sound very natural, even for 11labs. Very impressive. Must've taken you a lot of retries. That "Yep! You pass" at 3:00 made me type that :D
I really like your approach to this, the previous mod of that kind (the one that was taken down) was mediocre at best in terms of writing and use of AI-generated voices. And SDA is not my cup of tea.

Great job making the voice sound natural! If you don't mind some feedback, I'd watch out for neologisms like "bummer" - it's slang from the hippie 60s so I was a bit jarred to hear it coming from an ancient vampire (one of the first scenes in this TH-cam video).
@@apiranha5741 I could have sworn there was a dialogue in vanilla Skyrim where she said that word, or at least an NPC that said it (maybe a child?), but I could be wrong. I'll look it up.

I like the clan legacy dialog too. SHE IS ROYALTY after all, the end of that talk tho. Dragonborn's scratching their head in embarassment in that one.
10:28 THAT's the stuff I played rpg games for back when I had time. I replayed witcher 3 so many times just to see the dialogue changes for everyone depending on which route you took first

Nice correction on the toilets, but they don't use privy chambers either they use chamber pots. "Everything people throw out their chamber pots" would be more accurate
If I recall correctly, Privy Chambers were the medieval "toilet" of royalty. I think it's accurate for her of all people to say it.
@garmagictes5399 you recall correctly, though privy chambers didn't exist everywhere in Europe, nor anywhere in skyrim. In skyrim, they use chamber pots. Which is why you find so many bowls under people's beds.

@@HangOnThereSlick I suppose it depends on your taste. SDA focuses on romancing Serana and takes more creative liberties, while mine tries to stay true to the canon Serana and for the time there's no romance.

I kind of love that your version is more like Serana we have in vanilla game and Laura's voice suits her better as well. She definitely has a lot more mature vibe which I like. The main thing keeping me away from your version right now is that there's not that many new lines outside of main questlines. But If you'll manage do that over time It's very likely that I'll switch.
@@Lyraine1 Yeah, I do plan to expand on sidequests, but due to ElevanLabs' monthly susbscription nature, it will take a looong while :´)
I went with Serana Dialogue Add-on (SDA). It has the romance that I felt was missing to complete her story, plus other things like the SDA Patch Hub for cosmetics and integration with other popular mods. If the romancing isn't desirable for you then go with the Serana Dialogue Expansion, it seems more fitting even if you were to take the END ROMANCE options in SDA. Which one is more vanilla? - stick with Expansion. Want Laura Bailey's voice acting? - I argue Kerstyn Unger's (SDA) is better overall and she is quite a talented actress and her singing additions in SDA are wonderful. I also think the AI generated voice over isn't too far off the mark from vanilla Serana and the voice of Laura Bailey. Want Serana more fleshed out, with some taken liberties? - SDA. Plan on being a fellow degenerate with OStim or SexLab? - SDA obviously.
I'm going to add, in case anyone actually reads my comments, SDA and this are obviously not compatible. Both are lightweight however and do not have much mod dependencies unlike others. If you are new to modding Skyrim or just want to plug n play, either is fine. I argue do vanilla Skyrim Serana first, then do this Serana Dialogue Expansion if you end up like the majority of the community wanting more from Serana as a NPC follower. Imo SDA really shines only if you realize how much you want something, more fairy tale ending - and it isn't going to have that same effect for everyone. Also, when your game starts sporting over 100 mods, it is a bigger deal to keep things stable and to swap things around. SDA is probably going to finally stop getting updates by end of this year, just go look at the Nexus Mods page for Marty's latest announcements. So SDA isn't going to be changing once v5 drops, meaning if it isn't what you wanted then it's probably never going to be.

Hey glad I added this mod on creation club, though it sounds like you brought back the old VA through ai generation which is great since while the new one was good it just felt off.
Anyway if it is possible, could you update the version on Creation Club on Steam? I technically don't use Nexuxmod at all so I don't know if it's a thing that's possible.
@@rockowlgamer631 I was planning on uploading this mod to Bethesda.net once the mod is completed, but that will take a lot of time, sorry. But really, this mod doesn't cause any conflicts, so you can download it from Nexus just fine 👍
Just don't download it manually because then deleting the mod takes forever. Use Vortex to install it. Or Mod Organizer, whatever you feel more comfortable with.

If someone knows how to port this mod to Xbox, I'll gladly give them my permission to do it if they ask me.
@@garmagictes5399 Some tutorials out there exist. But if your mod requires SKSE, it's a no go I think. If it doesn't, then good. It's possible to have ported over. But finding a console modder to do the port is going to be difficult. I would say make it where the perms allow a console port but you'd prefer someone messaging you about it.
Anyway, good chance I'll message you on the mods comment section sometime next week. Can't say when since I'm busy. Expect a comment from ChosenUndead.

@@jordanlilin "Personalized Music". You can put ANY music you want, so long as is in .wav format. It's a must-have for me, so that I get to listen to AoT music when I fight a Dragon 👌😁

I liked this version more, but without romance its difficult for me to change from SDA.
@@hiddendoragon6867 I do plan on making a romance add-on, but I want to be careful with my writing so that it doesn't feel as of Serana breaks character. I specify about my concerns a bit more in the mod page, but tldr, it will take a while before I feel inspired to start writing.
@@garmagictes5399 I used to want to marry her when I was in middle school when I first bought the GOTY edition that had the dlc, but knowing what I know now, I'm more than okay without it lol. Granted, if it's even half the quality of the base mod, I'll be forced to give it a go :D

@@_Ruggsy_ I think the legal issue would come if I were to gain money with this mod at the expense of her voice. However, as I state repeatedly in the mod page, this is a non-profit project. I do this merely out of passion for the game and the character she brought to life using the little resources and tools I have within my reach. I mean in no way disrespect real voice actors nor I believe that AI should replace them in a professional context.
Honestly, I'm not even sure if something as insignificant as this is worth troubling her. Again, I gain no profit out of this at all.
In any case, the use of AI to expand on followers is widespread among the modding community. I don't think it's a crime so long as we don't gain profit from it.
@@garmagictes5399 IIRC there was an AI Serana mod before that had to be taken down. I don’t remember the exact reason why but I’d be wary that this mod might get taken down too.
@@SirDoodicus I was told about it. That's why I made a disclaimer in the mod page where I left clear that this is a non-profit project. So far there haven't been any issues or complaints regarding that.
@@SirDoodicus Mod was taken down by mod author for his own reasons. Not because of any legal reasons or Laura Bailey.
Is this safe to update mid-playthrough?

I think it's because the game itself can be modded. If I had to be stuck with vanilla content, I would have given up the game long ago, but the fact that I can add new content kinda makes me wanna go back over and over XD
