I don’t know that much, but what I do to get into the zone is have no distractions like homework or drama and have my goal clear in my mind. For example when I’m training, I have one goal clear in my mind, which is to improve myself as a player , such as improve my first touch or passing. When I’m in a game, I just think of the best way I can help the team, for example “How can I be of the most help in this situation” or “What will be the next few plays and what is the best way I can contribute to them” I just focus on the best way to help the team win. The way I trust my instincts is just by training a lot until it becomes second nature, and I don’t have to worry about messing up. Training a skill, such as my shooting, so much to the point where all those times I kicked the ball hundreds or even thousands of times that it becomes second nature and I just focus on scoring. When I combine both of these, I don’t even think about how to correctly shoot the ball and sometimes, I don’t even think about the how I can help the next play I just do it instinctively. I know you were asking to base the answers on relentless and I know you were asking Matt and and not me but I just wanted to share how I did it my way and hopefully help you. Also, sorry for the long paragraph, this is something you can’t really explain in few words.

I just wanted to say that I am INCREDIBLY inspired by you and that I will be working my hardest to okay soccer at the highest level I can even though I am a high school senior with no competitive experience. I will work my butt off to compete a club level in college until I make the varsity team all because you have inspired me!
Hey Matt, I was wondering if you could also do a video about benefits and/or importance of olympic weighlifting exercises like cleans, jerks and snatches and how to incorporate them into your training program. I've seen a lot of athletes from different sports including football doing it but at the same time, I don't think it's that heard or done amongst majority of the people in the football community. Would definitely love you opinion!
