You could add cup hooks on the underside of the top and the shelf which would display your cups nicely and take up less room than stacking them.

Just a suggestion for your front door for foot traffic, try river rock instead of mulch for less of a mess.
To have such a large family I think you’ve done amazing getting things so put together. I always enjoy your videos.

What about hanging the fruit baskets on the side wall of the pantry? Things are coming along so nicely!
Just a suggestion, would gravel be a better idea, rather than mulch, as water runs through the gravel, but mulch stays wet. You could also border the gravel with wood.
Have you thought about doing a grated porch ? Instead of the solid wood ? Grated will help keep from tracking in .

By putting all your goods in the pantry, this will help you to know how many baskets you need and what sizes.
I think you have achieved so much in a short time, ideas will come to you as you continue to move along in your daily life as a Mum to a big family.

As someone who has my own cookbook collection, I'm totally curious now!! 😁 What you said about the other cookbooks resonates with me too. I'm trying hard to go through the cookbooks that I don't use much, use the recipes from them that I might like, type up the good recipes for my own recipe collection, and then donate the book!

Jessica, it's funny because I have a lot of cookbooks and I was thinking I need to go through them and get rid of some. I think I'm going to give some to good will. I don't use all of them anyway. You'll have done a lot of things done in just two weeks.
If your cupboards have plastic plugs to hold your shelves, please consider getting metal ones, my plastic one gave way yesterday and a whole set of dishes broke all over the counter and floor, but not before they hit me in the head.

Put a three corner shelf in the corner behind your dining room table. They are great for storage. Get a floor to ceiling one.

Jessica, honey, you need 9 landscape blocks on your front area. Place them 3 wide with no separation between them because an accident could happen the way you have them placed now. Better safe than sorry. This will especially be helpful in the winter with frozen over blocks to slip on. Would hate for you or your family to fall and get hurt. Love your new house.
I would love a pantry...I watched your grocery haul and went to Walmart today...I noticed on the receipt. That prices have gone up. I live in Pennsylvania but my oldest daughter lives in Florida. Take care.
I like the side floor cabinet. I think it looks good. Maybe stain in a similar color to your cabinets and then it won’t feel so out of place for you. Loving all the projects. So exciting and looks good! ❤

If you hang the fruit basket over the adorable (!) vintage cabinet, are you going to be able to reach the fruit? Where it is now, it's reachable to a lot of the kids ???... and could be a self-serve snack area. Just a thought.....

I have one son and one daughter my daughter helps me so much in life she is 38... I can't imagine my life without her or her brother. 🥰
They are a blessing! Yes, I’m tired. So much to do… it feels good though. I like to be busy.
Go to Home Depot , lowes, grocery stores and ask for some pallets. They’ll usually give them to you. Lay them around your home until you can get something later. You can nail them together to make a great flat form. Use it as a porch for now. Saves lots of money and time and they could leave shoes in a crate outside the door .

Praying nothing is seriously wrong with your foot. Y'all have been busy. The home is coming together so beautifully.
I had my neurologist appointment today. My appointment went as well as expected. The tumor is most likely caused by my Crohn's. I have an MRI on August 13 and if nothing is wrong, I follow up with the neurologist on October 4. I don't have health insurance, so all of this is coming out of pocket. My hubby and I live on an extremely extremely tight budget since his tractor trailer rollover accident. He's on oxygen 24-7 due to Covid damaging his lungs. I ask y'all to please continue to pray for us. We also had to say goodbye to our furbaby yesterday. Thank you in advance. God Bless.
