I'm glad the Simpsons did the Sylvain Chomet Couch Gag, which has led me to this cartoon as I've been trying to find it on TH-cam for a good few years as I remember watching it as a kid.
Je me rappelle du visionnage de ce court-métrage dans une petite salle du 19ème arrondissement, c'était incroyable. Ce jour là, je suis tombé amoureux de la patte graphique de Nicolas de Crécy.
Chomet is a master in animation, no doubt, but I think my favorite aspect in his works is the sound design. Very ASMR like, super detailed as hell. It's insane

I don't know what it is about the french, but their art is so similar to one another as if their culture has integrated an amazing style within their artists.
Id argue, that america’s view of french art is stereotypical because its exactly what they want from it. Less cliché art, even, a lot of times better then what you guys get, dont make it overseas, since its not what is being looked out for. Same thing for art representation of other cultures (asian, latin/spanish, etc)

That video reminds me that Spongebob Squarepants episode when Gary leaves Spongebob's home and now he's living in a old lady's house where she feeds Gary until he's fattened up. While Gary lives with that old lady, she shows him old pictures of her old snails. A short while later, when Gary opens a closet, he sees that it is full of empty snail shells, implying that the old lady eats the snails that come to her house, then he realizes he's put on a lot of weight and now Gary has to escape from that place while the old lady tries to kill him to eat him
I began watching this several times on Short of the Week but never watched it all the way. The advertisements across the bottom distracted me too much. I"m going to go watch the others now.

Does anyone know what the main theme of this short is called? I know it's made by Jean Corti, thanks to the credits, but I can't seem to find the damn thing. The only song I can find that resembles it is Fiorina, but the problem with it is that it has a voice over it, so I can't listen to it as an instrumental. If anyone has a link to the actual song, they will be forever in my debt.
Yes, he looks almost exactly like Oskar. Perhaps this character’s looks, as well as his crafty schemes, might all be a reference to this historical figure.
DO NOT feed the pigeons that hang out at Rue Genistre x Pl. d’ armes in Luxembourg City! They literally work as a group and will swarm you if you so much as feed them a fried potato.
I think its about a Former Policemen in french base on his uniform couldn't living his life to eat as many food cuz of his retirement as you can see how he ration a tiny fish and when he see the old lady feeding the pigeons which fatten them up, so he has an idea to become a pigeon so he can have free food everyday. The morality is that some of us like giving food to feed the birds or animal more then giving it to human because we think it's fun when theres human among us who beg for food but was never offer to and treated differently
