In honor of National Farrier's Week 2018, "If horses were people" is back with an episode inspired by Danvers Child, Certified Journeyman Farrier! In the second episode tackling horses and their farriers, Sarah and Sara demonstrate what happens with horses with 'clover slobbers,' and when trimming time coincides with turnout and feeding time.

XD I usually try to leave the horse and farrier do their thing (if the horse is behaving)and go do chores, just checking in once in a while :) I noticed that dentists, vets and farriers usually are pretty awesome at handling the horses so no need to interfere.

What’s funny for me is some of the behaviors that aren’t pictured here. I had a mare that liked me. She didn’t want me to leave, so she grabbed me by the neck with her teeth. Every time I moved she’d grip a little harder. I finally pinched her nostrils shut and she had to let go in order to breathe. Another would block me up against the side of the stall to prevent me from leaving. I was about ten years old at the time. The only male in a stable full of mares and female grooms. In the next few years I had a lot of adventures.
