During the entire performance, Finn is really awkward and Rachel is loving every moment of it. At the end when Jacob Ben Israel screamed 'YES' it was like the entire audience unfroze and clapped because they actually liked it, but still didn't quite know what to think. Personally, I think Sue terrorized everyone at WMHS into forgetting this performance.
this scene is a cinematic masterpiece. the way the choreography is so inherently sexual but because they’re children who dont know what theyre doing its just awkward and funny. the way all of them (barring finn) are so INTO IT and giving it their absolute all. the way how when finn picks up the rap he’s extremely unsure and keeps looking back at the audience to check that he’s doing good. these actors are phenomenal and i genuinely miss this show so much (for the record the later seasons sucked i miss THIS show as in the show it was in season one when it remembered that it was satire)

The issue here, and the entire point of Push It, is that the age of modesty & repression has come and gone and that kids are very autonomous in the music, movie, tv show and variety they are subjected to. Will even does a whole set piece comparing twerking to historical dance crazes that were seen as "too sexual" at the time. As for Blurred Lines... If I recall correctly, Will isn't initially aware of the meaning, same with Emma & Afternoon Delight.
Rachel's the kind of person who's super tightly wound but excuses these displays as just part of the performance when really she's finally letting out some primal urges :)
Well beside from Kevin Mchale (Artie), shes the 2nd best dancer here. Sad they didn't show Kevin dancing because his character was in a wheel chair but he's amazing. Jenna Ushkowitz is also a really competent dancer out of the non dancers on the show.
This is my favorite school assembly I also feel a little bad for Mr.Schue because he was hyping up for the song that he thought they were going to do and was rewarded with one of the funniest and cringiest performance in glee history but the song he wanted them to do was terrible
