Hi guys great video. Recently been walking these trails again. I used to work in the George as a chef 10 odd years ago and knew John lord well from the pub. Is he still knocking about down that way???

one of the recumbent stones at the back of the 'circle' has a leaf shaped scar about 12 inches long and it has been suggested by Paul Ashbee that it is a grinding platform for polishing stone axes.
I visited trosley church many years ago . In the church was a glass case with a skull and some other bones taken from the coldrum barrow. The lovely Christian parishioners objected to theses heathens in the church and so the bones were removed to maidstone museum.

In Ireland, you get holed stones with depressions called "bullan." Here in California, we also have similar stones at ancient sites. Some were grinding rocks. Others...not known.

So what's the reasoning to say it's not also a stone circle? There are stones laid out in a circle but an assertion that there wasn't a 'stone circle' there.

Look up Mudfossil channel on you tube to find an alternative veiw on these ancient stones.

Interesting video and have visited these sites many times over the years as a local, but notice an anti Christian tone at times.
