the CGI is a little off???? I´ve never heard anyone commenting about that anywhere before... their Academy Award was exactly the Special Effects one. Maybe it's time for new glasses...

@NeedumReacts World War II did happen and Godzilla was originally a metaphor for the atomic bomb. The filmmakers presented the story with a sense of verisimilitude.

@NeedumReacts Well this Godzilla movie was something special. It took the intent and emotion of the original 1954 movie but using the technology and storytelling sensibilities of today. It was refreshing because it returned Godzilla back to his villainous roots and not since the original, you actually care about the human drama.
Once i heard Koichi being described as a little baby, i shut this reaction down. Appreciate the honesty.
For real. There are veterans that connected with this movie. I guess the reactor doesn't know anything about PTSD or Survivor's guilt.

@NeedumReacts You should watch older movies once in a while. You're missing out on some good stuff and you can appreciate how far we've come. Also, you don't have to watch the movie but at least do your homework on Godzilla. The original movie was a very anti-war movie, had a lot of images that echoed the devastation from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The movie was about the bomb but disguised as a monster. The was also a real life incident that inspired Godzilla, look into the fishing boat Lucly Dragon No. 5. Also, a lot of war veterans really liked this movie because they could relate to the main character. Why react to movies if you can appreciate older ones or be immersed in the story???

Godzilla is very special to many of us, especially those like me who've been watching these movies since childhood. His nature and destructive power depicted in this movie take him back to his origin. He was never meant to be seen as the power to restore balance as the Monster verse has made him. This story is beautifully told, and the visual effects are amazing! I can't wait for the sequel! Long live GODZILLA! ❤❤❤❤
Yea the American Godzilla movies are so ridiculous but my friends and I love to just laugh at them. This movie was amazing and now I understand the original vision behind Godzilla.
