Very informative; the rotation of the forearm, not wrist. An area that is rarely, if ever, discussed. It looks like the forearm is pronated, knuckles facing down, in Pat the Dog, but the Pros appear to externally rotate the forearm into supination, palm facing the sky, at contact. However the racquet face is obviously not open. Nadal and Alcaraz certainly appear to do this. Could you expand on this movement, and explain how it assists in generating top spin? Because no-one else appears to consider this worth explaining.

I've watched loads of tennis video lessons, most of them quite good tbf. But your advices are by far the most effective and easy to implement. I found especially useful the ones about the serve.
    Great job

Could you please share a full course to explain how to deal with heavy topspin, not especially high bouncing balls, but above all for the difficulty in keeping control of the ball we send back because the spinning ball effect makes us lose control and the ball goes into the scenery... It's the same feeling playing table tennis against an opponent who's mastered top spin...

One question … first it is very good tip.. coming to the question ,how do we rotate elbow from back swing position? Do we rotate elbow by active arm movement or turning hips creates that rotation? Just trying to understand before we try. Thanks for the video again

Tennis doctor is very dogmatic placing everyone in the same category and providing a one for everyone solution which is not going to work as we are all different. But to each their own.

Excellent. This must be related to our forearm bone structure: rotating from the elbow allows a greater range of motion for the radius to rotate around the ulna.
(Steve, please have them fix that center net strap!)

Nadal, Alcaraz, Federer are well known for playing with a straight elbow, unlike Djokovic. How would you explain the difference in their technique vs a bent elbow like Djokovic?

    • @oneminutetennis
      @oneminutetennis  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi
      Thanks for the message.
But sorry, your talking about a straight arm.
That's a straight upper arm and forearm.
The majority of players got with a bent upper arm and forearm.
Neither has anything to do with with the rotation of the elbow.
This rotation can occur in both situations.
Try holding your arm out straight and then holding it out bent. Can you turn your elbow in both situations?
      Does that make sense

So supination to pronation? Always so much talk about pronation on the serve but really to get to where it happens naturally you must supinate first which you are showing here.

Hi. Not really. You can see me doing it. Just like thousands of other videos. But you can't see HOW to do it from a demo. That requires an explanation. Glad your enjoying the channel.
