Great clinical drill as I watch from NJ USA. So I surf the internet to otherside of world to my ancestral country to the Filipino EMS Facebook page. Who's website do I see? Evan. Looks like the world is watching you. Liked.
Yes, in some circumstances for example someone could have a high RR, and be unresponsive or semi-responsive and not be able to manage their own airway, this could be a case for BVM. When out in the field, use RR OWL to evaluate what to do next.
Clarifying question: is words per sentence how many words the patient can say without needing to take another breath? For example, if they’re saying "My(breath)name(breath) is (breath) John" , are they speaking in 1-2 word sentences or 4 word sentences?
A nebulizer is used when medications need to be given via the inhalation route. This video highlights oxygenation devices versus ventilation devices, patients who are suffering from certain conditions such as asthma, COPD, anaphylaxis would be candidates for a nebulizer treatment in addition to receiving oxygen via the nebulizer at 6-8 LPM typically.

I’m confused, when would a nebuliser be used?
Nebuliser is used for MDI’s (inhalers)
It's used to relieve coughs and other symptoms caused by respiratory illnesses.
