The Patient Assessment Trauma sheet is one of the first EMT skills you will learn in EMT class. This sheet was first introduced by NREMT to evaluate EMT skills such as the Trauma Assessment.
The Patient Assessment Trauma Sheet is broken down into 5 main parts including the scene size up, primary assessment, history taking, secondary assessment and the reassessment steps. I will breakdown for you in great detail each of the EMT steps so you can pass your EMT skills evaluation.
Tension pneumothorax, cardiac tamponade, the ability to perform BVM ventilations and give oxygen to patients that are apneic are possible scenarios you may encounter during this EMT skill sheet and station.
Remember that your main goal with patient assessment is to evaluate, identify and treat any life threats that you uncover on the primary assessment.
I look forward to you passing your EMT skills evaluation and I hope this video helps you breakdown the Patient Asssesment Trauma Sheet!
Be great,

After the transport decision, you would place a C Collar and back board correct? Before you place the C Collar would you check for step offs real quick? Or do you go back and check that in your detailed assessment?
Cheers mate
