I've posted a lot of stories from KCRA 3, the NBC affiliate, and Number 1 rated television news station in Sacramento, California, that first came on the air in 1955, (I've been a news photographer here since 1989) that I've filmed and that I've both filmed & reported. Those have always been of my best work. But to anyone curious about a TV News Photographer's work, and especially for journalism students, I've decided to start posting everything that I've filmed-whether I worked with a reporter or was simply sent out to grab a story on my own, as even live shots. Little stories that the Anchors read over are often edited by staff editors whose principal job is editing for the shows and everyone has a different style. And if they are in a rush, they are just legitimately preoccupied with getting something on the air to “cover the black.” So I’m posting everything-Everything-that I’ve filmed, most often with a reporter, that I have covered, from a wildfire to some weather video to show what they day looked like to a minor or major accident or fire or community event we're sent out to show a little bit of. This is what the day-to-day, 5-days-a-week, Wednesday-Sunday of the second week in October 2024 was for me.
