Just got my Fifine AM8 and whoooooaaaa. Great mic! Great low end bass without the muddiness!!! I got the black. I Recommend to everyone!! I also have a condenser mic, but it doesn't compare to the AM8, whereas I like the AM8 sooooooo much better. P.S. Thanks for your reviews!!
I just received Fifine AM8. Will post my review soon. So far mic is really good even in USB mode with mobile/laptop. I am really Impressed with it's audio quality.
Hello dave i love your videos, so i have a quick question for you i recently bought this mic for my wife and she plans on using it usb mode could you please explain me how to get the best out of it with usb?
Hi Dave! I've recently pulled the gun and decided to give VO work a shot. I've always been an audio guy (audiophile side of the niche), so mics have always been something I've thought of getting into. I've recently bought a Fifine A8, and acoustic insulation. Haven't bought an interface though. How did you start in the industry and is my setup adequate for starting? I'm definitely planning on getting an interface and upgrading to the K668. You're criminally under-rated considering how clear your dedication to quality is. You're an incredible inspiration to myself
Your A8 is fine! The K688 is not an upgrade-it’s a crossgrade to a different type of mic. Assuming your acoustics and soundproofing are great, both mics perform well but just have a different tone. The A8 performs like older $200 mics, and even better in terms of noise floor. The next upgrade for you would likely be something like the Rode NT1 (or equivalent) and a $200 audio interface like the Motu M2. But before that, upgrade your space first!
@DaveSoltura Thanks Dave! The comparison to the older mics definitely gives me a better frame of reference. I'll keep all that in mind. All the best, cheers
Hello ! I'm planning to buy a microphone but im really torn between the Fifine AM8 and the Maono PD200x. Which would you prefer for streaming, especially with a low voice? (Oh, also, would it sound bad if i didnt have like a soundcard/physical audio mixer?) Also i love your videos ! Just discovered you today and you've been rlly helpful with the insight.❤
Thank you for the kind words! The PD200x is good, but gets better with software. The AM8 is a biiit better straight out of the mic. Its high frequencies aren't as brittle-sounding. However, if livestreaming is your main use-case, the software DSP that you can use with the Maono significantly improves its quality and it can arguably be considered better than the AM8 because of that. If you want the convenience of software that works the the PD200x, go with that. If you like having better sound straight out of mic and are going to look for solutions to improve in post, you can do that.
Hello Brother! I been eyeing for a good microphone and nalilito tlga ako san pipiliin ko haha just a freelancer that use mic always and gaming. what do u prefer Fifine am8, Fifine k688, Fifina Tank3, PD100x, Pd200xt or just go with shura SM7B . what is the best choice for this or do u have a better option. bibili din ako ng FIFINE AmpliGame SC3W White Gaming Audio Mixer. Move power brother!
you didnt make the video of how to do the am8 sound better with software and we got to the likes D: but showing how to make it sound better with hardware still works for some people
I am very tired of asking everyone. But I did not get the right advice from anyone. Some say to buy a dynamic mic, some say to buy a condenser mic. I want to record my poetry professionally at home. Please tell me a good mic and audio interface which gives me professional sound quality within my budget. My room is not Sound proof, My total budget is 350 dollars for audio interface, mic and headphones.
Condenser, if only you can afford buying acoustic treatment, or are doing it for professional voiceovers and singing. Dynamics help reject sound, which better suits a room that isn’t soundproofed. That’s a very good budget. Consider getting the Shure MV7+
The MV7+ has great audio already, and the software that enhances it doesn’t work when you have an audio interface. If I had to pick, go with the Focusrite Vocaster 1 or 2, but this won’t enhance your audio by much. Usb mics are getting better and better.

Which is better when using USB mode between the PD200X and AM8? By the way, in my country, the price of the AM8 is higher than PD200X😂
When are you going to review the beyerdynamic fox?
am8 of k688?
I have a question who is the best microphone
Fifine K688 or Fifine MA8
Am8 for clarity, K688 for protection against distortion. Both are warm. Can’t go wrong with either.
