I have used the KJV on occasion when someone prefers only that version. I love its poetic way of writing. But I also loved to read Shakespeare written also during King James reign, yet confess I barely understand it. It is only with the help of NWT that I've learned so much and can now read the KJV with ease. However, I can tell the householder usually doesn't grasp it and much more explaining is needed. Thank you for this interesting topic, brother 😊

Very well said! Why spend so much time critiquing the NWT when everyone can just choose the translation they prefer.....Just that simple.😊

Former Roman Catholic here. When I studied with Jehovah's Witnesses in 2008, I did not use their Bible (NWT), I used my Catholic Bible (Christian Community Bible) and KJV/NKJV Bible (Gideon's Bible). In every discusion, I did not take their word for it. I looked up all the scriptures considered in my own copies of the Bible and saw for myself the truths they were sharing.

Yes, There are many people that study with Jehovah's Witnesses using bibles other than the New World Translation. They can and do learn the truth from those other translations as well.

Well said, yes critics really don't like being called out. One guy was arguing about the theory of the Trinity and did bot bring out one Bible verse to support it, probably because there isn't one and he knew it

Indeed. Brother Byatt wrote: “On the Elder's remark, we would ask Lundquist, what about Jehovah's Witnesses before the _NWT_ was published in 1950; did they not have a faith in Jehovah then? Of course they did! I myself was a Witness for eleven years before 1950, and the _NWT_ did not change my faith, for it is the Hebrew Scrptures which fully establish so much about Jehovah.“ (Byatt, Anthony; Flemings, Hal (2004). _'Your Word is Truth', Essays in Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (1950, 1953)_ on p. 109).

Ray, once again a comprehensive explanation of the NWT including references to your NWT Curiosities! Great questions, hopefully stimulating thought at the end! Well done!

Most "scholars"try to fit their interpretation of biblical meaning to their bias... I am truly Grateful for the NWT!
