I just want to take this moment and say thank u for sharing this intimate moment with your mother. And addressing this issues. Those are the same issues I would have with my mom, their era is so hush-hush we don’t talk about what happens in the house and there blinders to deal with things just different … and ants do they are alive they have souls ….all living creators 🌹

I think snow is hurt but at the same time understands her mom isn't going to change, so she accept the situation for what it is. She just doesn't let her Mom get to her like she did before.

Snow, I hope you or your team sees this, it means alot to know (and I know many can relate) a person so influential like you can acknowledge that depression is REAL af, and any form of assertion by anyone really helps the inner self of someone who may be suffering mentally. It is greatly appreciated.
I'm 25min in and I loved that Mental Health explanation of the putting up Bars around ourselves. I personally need to get out of that. I could see what your mom was saying also. I see a lot of resentment there in you. I have that with my parents too. Hopefully that can be worked out ♡. I was thinking of going to therapy someday with my family. I'm a june cancer and my mom's a Taurus too. You and your mom remind me of me and my mom. It's crazy. My little brother is almost exactly 6 years apart and he can never do any wrong but my mom fuckin "hates me". I didn't know how much I needed this podcast. Thank you for trying to live in your truth and not forgetting "who you really are" and what's really important. Can't wait to see what all is to come for you. Love and light to you and your family!!

Wow Snow at around 25:00 I wish my niece had heard what you said. She's 18 and all she knows is her jail cell of mental health issues. She complains as though me, my mom and my wife have absolutely nothing that we struggle with. I was raised in poverty and am a military veteran. So here's my niece ranting at the table this past holiday about how bad she has it. Ruined that moment of togetherness and wasn't at all thankful for anything. She physically showed up but mentally she remained in her cell. Pissed off everyone including my 12 year old son who hadn't seen her in 3 years because of the pandemic. She has help, she gets her meds. Now she needs to break out of her cell. I loved that accountability point you made. That was golden. I love it. Thank you Snow!
I don’t know what your niece goes through. But honestly, everyone’s struggle is their own. She will take as long as she takes to feel peace

I can tell my mom about how her and my dad neglected us since babies leaving us with babysitters just so they can have extra money to send to their families in Mexico, sending racks of cash and I honestly hold a grudge because of that, and their families now don’t appreciate it and get mad because they don’t help out anymore since their divorce and when I tell my mom how I feel she storms off crying but they gave up on me at 15yrs old they agreed me getting married cause they didn’t want to deal with me anymore 😢
My Mom wasn't perfect but her heart was in the right place. I too held a grudge about her imperfections as a parent. When I told her how I felt, she was sooo apologetic and heartbroken. It was all I needed to heal and move on from it. I'm sorry you didn't get that. I don't even want to bring up bad things from the past because the pain I saw in her eyes from knowing the damage it caused is something I never want to see in her. She has taught me what true strength is. I hope I too am strong enough to accept my flaws and apologize when I am wrong. ❤❤❤

Motivation, consistency and creativity has always been what it is it's never died it's what you make it and what you work with to create it
Clinical Mental Health Counseling student here, I have been a fan of Snow since 2016 and I am so happy that she talks about mental health. There are shelters for domestic violence/ stalking/human trafficking/sexual violence/ and help with protection orders along with other resources too for men and women (make sure to research your local agency and what services they provide) and are free and confidential. Some community clinics (where you get your physical checks or when you go to get sick) have behavioral health support to check on your mental health, and Medicaid or insurance sometimes can pay for it. Make sure you ask 😊. Our families/parents don’t talk about mental health because of the lack of awareness and stigma and it’s great to have these conversations and cut those family generational curses/behaviors. It’s good that there is awareness and community education. Invalidating others experiences causes hurt and we need to be more supportive instead, just because one person did not go through something similar does not mean their worldview is “easy” or “shouldn’t be depressed”. Depression is tough but with great supporters and love, you can take it a day at a time. Stay safe Snow and your feelings are valid and all love from Nebraska!❤
