You're the man. If you can pull off a great video like this with Doctor Fate, that would be incredible. I haven't seen many videos on him online - and I think he has some creative potential.
Fate isn't really a combo character, he's a hardcore zoner. His primary focus is to aggravate the other character with fireballs and traps. He's like Bane in that he doesn't have big 12 hit combos, but the primary string you want to focus on for combos is 2,1,1,3. This is primarily effective with meter burning the dark magic Glyph or meter burning a back or a forward 3. You can also alternatively do a standing 3 into a fireball. I'm sure someone can do a little better but this is the basic thing you're gonna want to do. I'm not gonna tell you that he doesn't need combos but he doesn't need them as much as other characters, he's dependent on zoning, pushback and traps. If you're playing Fate, you're gonna be in a pretty good place with pretty much every character in the game just throwing out fireballs and orbs except the ones that have teleports. Just watch out for Flash and Bane with a full bar of super because if you throw out a fireball or an orb when they have it they're gonna take a big dump on you. You gotta stand back and make them use that meter.

Alright, I've seen about 5 matches of his now, 2 of them against Black Adam he pretty much did nothing but zone, another few against Brainiac which he utilized more of what you were probably talking about. I still haven't changed my mind. This players primary strategy is to use traps, which goes back to what I said as being part of Fates game plan, but when he's up close, he's at a disadvantage. He uses Dr. Fate's limited up close options about as well as you can, but he takes a beating when he gets up close a lot of the time too.
NRS themselves, the people that MADE the character said that he's a hard zoner.
Kratos x23 I guess it's just wishful thinking because I love Doctor Fate as a character, but don't like his fighting style, I prefer having more up close mixup options, that much zoning bores me.
Quick question. For the 1, 1, 2, ice breath mb, b3, j3, f2, d 1+3 combo, for some reason, I can never land the f2 onwards in this combo. I heard there was a way to replace a part of the combo with b+1,2,3 but which part do i replace?
in practice mode or vs cpu you can have your combos up on the screen. I assume you can't do this in unranked or ranked
Can you turn on the setting that shows your inputs as you do them?
First time playing with Supergirl because of ur video so I'm give her a tryout. I noticed ur combo scaling not adding up you - must have your gear on because you are doing way too much damage!

how the hell did he do (f+3>b - J+3 - b+1, 2, 3)? I can't land everything else but (b+1,2,3). I keep getting a 2 and not a b+1 when I do it.

It takes a little time. Just do one combo at a time until you can do it with your eyes closed... Or five times in a row with your eyes open. You'll notice that the notations will make more and more sense as you go.

Hmm her combos look alot better then i expected. I would've gotten the game if the compepetive scene didn't had this full screen projectile spammer thing going. Might get it on sale tho

As far as the instructions at the top, you realize there's whole middle piece missing from 2:48? And yes, I noticed the x2 but there's still a part not there. I'm normally not too snobby about these things but I bet there's somone out there wondering why the hell they can't get it.

I know compared to the others it's totally weaksauce, but nothing beats the "badassery" of b+1, 2, 4+MB (0:23)
aquaman can do double her damage in less buttons
but what do i know about balance
I having trouble with the f+2,3,1+3. I can't land the grab at the end of that combo, I just end up kicking instead. Do you delay the 1+3 at the end or put it in all together?

NerfBird Gaming I figured it out. When she punches up, hold down and then push 1+3 and she will then perform the down throw.

Alex James I apologize but this explanation is confusing for me. What exactly are you holding down/pushing when? I'm just starting to get into fighting games and I must say, it's not coming naturally :/
You want to hold down the d-pad/analog stick, whichever you use to move when pressing 1+3. At 0:32 in the video you see her punching up with both her fist, that is when you need to press 1+3. It is a few second delayed after you press f+2,3.

What's J+3 means? I mean clearly the 3 is the third button but what does J mean? I guessed jump but can't get it to fit in.

It means "jump forward". An alternative notation is uf+3 > "up forward x" (the x assumes your on PS4).

Apparently it means Down Back! Like Quarter something Back! I have no clue as to why he writes is like this though! Why not just write DB and DF instead of qcb qcf just like everyone else?!
Sabalghoo I understand the frustration. QCF and QCB stand for "Quarter Circle Back" and Quarter Circle Forward." This notation has been used forever in a variety of fighting games (not just in Injustice) so I'm sure he's used to writing it this way.
Because in reality it is d,db,b not d,b.
