    Motorweek you need to address this: Few automotive journalists review bikes and your crew is probably one of the best if you would give them a budget. You still have the only piece on Fischer Motorcycles ever done on the whole Internet. I love the instincts of the crew but it's obvious the budget is so tight they can only review bikes that they find extremely significant.

    I just bought a 2014 CTX1300 hold over. Anyone that says it rides rough or it don't handle well apparently has neve been on a Harley. I have owned several Harleys and love them, but this bike kicks their ass! I have a 17 tri glide (I know not a motorcycle), a Fat Bob and a wr250r. Love the Honda! Smooth and haul ass!

    The front fork rake and fairing looks like retro styling from the 80's sport bikes

    WHY does Honda switch the horn placement? How difficult is it to switch it w/ the signal switch?

    Top notch motor, super comfortable, smooth transmission .
    only slight flaw is the lack of wind protection for touring.
    I find the suspension very firm and never bottom out like this reviewer states.

      +Sam Davies It is now running at $11,500 for the Deluxe model, from what I understand. This model is not made anymore at all, but it is still a good bike. I should know, I use mine on a daily basis.

    I actually went and did a test drive on one of these bikes, I really thought it had potential. That was until I rode it, you can't see out the mirrors?? They are exactly lined up with you hands and arms on the handle bars and are USELESS! Power simply was NOT there. I am a huge Honda fan and have owned 100's of Honda engines many generators, pumps, motorcycles, Accords, Civics, Prelude and 5 Acura's and I expected more out of what could have been a great bike. You can't find them around here as when they finally did sell them (after years on the floor) they refused to order them back. Biggest bummer I personally have ever had from Honda Motors.

      I test rode the CTX1300 back in 2016, and was not impressed. It sounded like a highly refined sewing machine except it just didn't sew right. For the heck of it I tested the smaller, much less expensive CTX700 twin not expecting much, but was impressed and actually bought it with no regrets after two years. The CTX700 is clearly the winner over the 1300.

    These now sell well below $10,000, even as New Old Stock in 2017. I will probably buy one because of the package, not just on looks.

  • @340rps
    @340rps 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Cruiser my ass! No feel of a cruiser at all especially with the V-4 That over sized Dunflop rear tire effects the handling not in a good way as the bike wants to stand up, you really have to push the bike into the curves. The suspension is terrible as even minor bumps rattle you right thru the handle bars. The de-tuned V-4 has plenty of power and the bike gets fairly good gas mileage. If you're considering buying a cruiser, I would suggest to look else where.
