    Used a heupar for a year until it died then treat myself to the 12v 360 bosch. Have to say i prefer the bosch.

    Nice focused review, lol like the end of anyone else makes lasers please don't send them. With all the spare ones you've got have you thought of doing drop tests?

    So, if the Firecore is sat on a slight let's say 10 degree out of level surface, will it self level or do you have to level it ?

    • @Alastair_Freebird
      @Alastair_Freebird  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not Suarez the exact threshold of degrees… yes it will self level within a certain threshold but when it can’t it will flash to show its unable to make the beam level. I’ve stopped doing these Chinese laser reviews now to be honest. I get asked constantly but it’s not how I want my channel to be!

    For the manual level, you need to lock the pendulum first.

    The biggest test of the cheap lasers. Is can they be calibrated properly ? Most known brands such as DeWalt and PLS and hilti can all be calibrated and guaranteed. I personally wouldn't trust any laser that hasn't been calibrated.

    Read the manual, mate. The anti-shock feature does NOT work the way you've described.
    When enabled, the level will watch for extreme shock that moves it off the original position. If such motion has been registered, the level will turn itself off so that you know that this happened in your absence.

      Ok thanks for that. Strange that I praised the makers for this feature, and they watched this video, and they did not correct me!

    • @oseaghin

      @@Alastair_Freebird They probably don't watch it in its entirety. Also, since it was a praise -- why would they bother, amiright? :D
      In any case, it's a really well-made level.

      To be honest you’ve rightly called me out on something here Eoghan. At the time of making this video I was getting inundated with free laser levels. It felt good, so I took the first few, until it dawned on me that the obligation to produce a video was really a very poor deal for me, in return for another bit of kit I didn’t even need. It was just the first flush of excitement at the channel getting noticed in that way. Anyway… I was rushing off these reviews, and I really didn’t give the manual a thorough read 😳. I learnt my lesson, it didn’t sit well with me taking the channel in that direction anyway, it’s not what I’m about. So I say no to laser level offers regularly these days. But I have kept in touch with Huepar who seem to be an increasingly serious brand with aftercare, and Kaiweets also seem to be developing along those lines.

      @@Alastair_Freebird Whoa. That... was as pleasant a surprise as it was unexpected. Bravo!
      If I may offer you an idea for reviews: the English segment of TH-cam is starved for good information on laser levels in general and Chinese ones in particular.
      All videos feature unboxing, brief feature overview and (rarely) a brief comparison with other levels.
      I ended up having to watch videos on a Russian (or Ukrainian?) channel with subs. The dude there thoroughly reviewed accuracy, compared it to other levels, disassembled the levels, and even commented on the ease of using the laser adjustment screws.
      This allowed me to form a comprehensive understanding of the market and I ended up getting a Huepar 904DG.
      This kind of information is entirely missing from the English-speaking TH-cam.

      @@oseaghin That's a great insight thank you! However, I don't think I am the man for the job. I won't have time for that. I think my experience and value to my viewers is best directed to sharing my knowledge of designing, making and installing fitted furniture, and increasingly the business side of it. Perhaps sne day when I am retired I will be able to enjoy taking little things apart and editing carefully planned comparative videos!

    I generally position my laser onto metal corner in the walls and laser bounce isn’t generally a problem but if they can invent something that zaps ⚡️ people that stand in front of the laser that I would buy 🔥🔫

    Why do you post videos on laser levels when you clearly do not know how to use said items ?

    • @Alastair_Freebird
      @Alastair_Freebird  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      😂. Because these Chinese companies keep insisting on sending me them despite the slapdash nature of my videos. I’m busy trying to run a business but I feel the least I can do is give them some air time as they hoped and they seem content with the exposure it gives them. I’m refusing the latest requests

      No problem. Give me some tips - how would you use a level like this to get the most out of it?
