Hey Geek'D, I feel what ya mean about the sound of a lot of the english voice actors, but... the english voice-actor for Madara/Masked Obito sounds so deep and evil. You'll like those I bet ^^. He's been in a couple other dubbed animes that I've seen too. And the voice actors for; english Kakashi, Madara, Zabuza, Naruto, Jiraiya, Sasuke - were in an MMO that I've played too (Star Wars: The Old Republic) - that's just a few of the voices that I picked out in my time playing
Naruto's voice does get better

YOU DO YOU!!! Don't listen to people complaining about dub or sub, it's your personal preference and it's always the better choice if you want to enjoy something. And I hope you watch the whole show, people asking you to skip Naruto to go to Shippuden just want to see you reacting to the fights... If you like the story line, being introduced to characters and the bond between them it's better to start with Naruto, if you just care about "action" then you can skip everything and just go with the fights (which is dumb in my opinion because Naruto is a great serie)... and I just want to warn you, some Naruto fans are pretty immature and agressive if you don't like their favorite characters or don't listen to their "orders", don't mind them just do your things, people will follow and enjoy with you.

Back then I watched Naruto on a small tv and it was old so it was hard to read the subtitles already. Worst part is, the subtitles were white. Try reading that shit in the white mist LOL.
Small TV and old bad visuals are very, very nostalgic (in a terrible way)

Japanese people say themselves that eng dub is as good as original. It is a rare thing they acknowledge that. But do what you like, noone's gonna blame you for that. Most people here probably watched Naruto several times already. About first 120 episodes is just straight action. So you won't be bored. After that just switch to 2nd season. I'm looking forward to seeing you react to Zabuza/Haku; Chuunin exam (gonna be like 50 episodes in a row with great story and epic fights). Watched Naruto probably 5+ times myself. Gonna sub for you just for this series (not fan of anime). The only other anime that I like is LoveLive, 26 episodes, movie and other 26 episodes. A lot of people on YT recommend it as well. Great anime about cute little girls.

..its an action show not Shakespeare....most of us care about watching the facial reactions and subtle body features and animation during fightd not looking for the text of the grunts atbthe bottom Christ ..I really don't get sub fans at all unless the dub is unbearable which naruto is not after the early few episodes and by then you get used to it. ..for one piece I get it ..for full metal I get it .. Heck for akame ga kill I get it...the sub is vastly superior for those shows I agree and watching them subbed ruins the seriousness of the story ...but for naruto its way less engaging to watch it subbed imo...I'm just saying ...I don't get how people enjoy it this way as much until the last arc where you dont need the dub as much cause its a lot more action but until then you really need the dub to entertain you with lame puns and dub changes cause the actual dialogue is pretty boring..bla bla bla

Fuck what people gotta say it’s all about what you prefer tbh, people who know the English language more often do prefer it in dub as we are reading the text and missing the actual show and vice versa but some shows do have a decent dub, but some shows like this can be awkward 😂

9 taled fox contains a lot of life power that is affecting Naruto's healing powers (this will play a huge role in the anime). It's not like an instant healing, it's just his healing powers are much better than any other's.
Just stick with sub if you prefer it. this is my first time watching naruto subbed and I'm enjoying it.

I understand that the voices are rough at first. I felt the same way. But I promise you will completely get used to them. Naruto should voice helps him to seem very bratty. Trust me it’s just good for his character development in my opinion

its funny, i liked the dub when i first got into naruto back a few years ago, but then i ran out of dubbed episodes and had to switch to the sub and it just fit so perfectly

I always felt that with OG naruto, sub is the way to go. But for shippuden, giving the dub another try is a good idea, the voice acting is much better and they feel much more like the characters theyre playing than they did previously.

Yeah the dub director changing after the first arc around episode 21 helped...it was originally Jeff Nimoy of the first 2 seasons of digimon fame who added puns to a show he as told to be marketed towards kids ala pokemon dragonball that got so popular instead of it being serious with quiet moments like in the originals with both digimon and naruto ...he did the same for early naruto and it sucks...he chose to leave naruto and do season 5 of digimon data sqaud and was replaced by former cowboy bebop director Marry Elizabeth Myglynn ...she made the script serious again ....the same Jeff Nimoy by the way who is a distant nephew related to the great Leonard Nemoy
