I really don't understand Kramnik's decision of pushing the pawn to H5 on 4:00, it gets the king side paralized and fixes the pawn structure. Now H5 followed by G5 is impossible as a pawn break choice. And on the queenside Karjakin has the advantage , so just a small detail that I noticed that might have played an important role in the game
Kramnik might have thought he had targets on the queenside (the black bishops are pointing at the white queenside) so he stopped White counterplay on the kingside instead

e3 Bg4 Qd2 Bc8 Qc3 Bc5 Qc2 Rc2 Nc8 (maybe Re8 Bd7 or Rc8 Be7 are playable idk) Bf8 seems risky at the very least if not straight up worse as black was already down a pawn in the original position. I think he was mainly just double checking Nf2
